Hey I'm just starting out with this deck. I was just wondering if someone would be willing to write a sideboard guide for this against some of the more common decks (miracles, delver, stoneblade, shardless, etc), it would really help the transitioning process better.
I don't really understand this, why would you run a basic forest with yisan and an extra savannah without yisan?
Because you can Vial out green creatures if your green sources are Wasted/Mooned/etc., but you also need green to activate Yisan's ability. I'm not sure that's where I'd draw the line between having a basic Forest vs. none, but at least it's a decent argument for drawing the line there.
oh okay, thanks Curby. If Frenadol could confirm this it would be good
If you want another green source I'd run a basic Forest if you have Yisan. If not, I'd just run 4 Savannah. I ran 3 Savannah and a Canopy because I'm poor and I haven't had any problems with my green sources so far.

One other thing that caught me while testing: cavern of souls cannot be used to pay for the green requirement in Yisan's ability. It was pretty awkward a couple of times.
I disagree with having mirran crusader against miracles, although it worked out well in that match. I think we discussed about mirran crusader vs miracles here, sometime back
i think in this deck we seldom get flooded, and more often than not we are light on mana. I would say it depends on your lands If you're all plains, ports, karakas and wassteland you could justify 22. but if you're doing 22 with other stuff like cavern of souls then its probably shaky. phil could you check your facebook message? i requested an article from SCG if it doesn't trouble you too much
random thought: i just realized containment priest has a really solid interaction with parallax wave. Just saying. It's probably too cute to be viable though.
i think some amount of the decay in the maindeck is required based on the current metagame. We definitely want more ways to deal with delvers, swiftspears and equipment carrying nasties, and being able to buy a turn or two by decaying at the right moment can be the difference between winning and losing. I don't think I like the idea of the whole playset of strix, maybe you can make some space for a maindeck clique or two. 2 manipulate fate doesn't seem right, you might want 3-4 of that because of how good it is.
TIP: even with your griffins in the exile zone, go ahead and thin your deck some more with extra copies of manipulate fate (remove whatever you think you don't need, for example excess lands when you're sitting on a ton of land), so you have a higher chance of drawing gas. Also useful to reset after a brainstorm if you don't have a spare fetch sitting around.
