I don't see how the leyline helps with evoke elementals, or anything that cares about the color of spells you casts or cards in your hand/graveyard.
It could be fun in domain or Valakut decks.
I believe the point about it being good with the evoke elementals is that, since it's a leyline, you're incentived to run 4 copies to maximize your chance it is in your opening hand, but extra copies do nothing. Conveniently though, this card is every color, so extra copies you don't need pitch to every MH2 elemental and also all of the various Force of X cards. I guess it could also be hilarious in Green Devotion decks since it can start you the game already at 4 devotion, but who knows lol
Jetsam is a BIG effect for an uncommon. I like this.
It's probably just OK in a limited format with as much graveyard exiling as this one and honestly, not great in 2 player games in general. Rare gets Breach the Multiverse, so it's little brother can be uncommon.
Yes good point. Just still surprising to see something with "cast a spell for free" at uncommon, but the cost is fair. In 1v1 I don't think it's good unless there is some other synergy. Seems playable for commander though. Casting any spells type is nice.
Each card you steal off the top of your opponent's deck is easily worth drawing two of your own.
Can you elaborate on your math there? I don’t see how.
You drawing one of your own cards is good--you get a resource. You stealing a card from your opponent's deck is twice as good--you deny them a resource and put it in your own pile of resources.
The fact that you may spend mana as if it were any type means that their resources will always be accessible, even if they may not be the most useful to you. Cast or play them, anyway, for the extra "gotcha" effect.
Exiling a random card from their deck isn’t really denying them a resource. That card may as well have just been on the bottom of their deck. They just draw a different random card instead. It’s why milling (even exile milling) isn’t worth a card, unless there is some other synergy or you do it as a wincon.
It’s too bad the search is triggered only when the land is actually destroyed, so you can’t combine this with your indestructible nonbasics to get ramp. Works with flagstones, I guess.
How is this group hug? This is insanely good both in limited and constructed. Either they get through and you draw or they flip. Not only that, but you only need a sac outlet to flip any morph / disguise? This is very good.
“ Whenever a face-down creature you control dies, return it to the battlefield face-down under its owner's control if it's a permanent card. Then turn it face-up.
that doesn’t make Yarus group hug, that just makes it a nonbo with a random card outside its color identity.
This card is nuts though. It doesn’t seem to fit the flavor of Yarus from the story, but guess they wanted a big disguise/flip enabler in red/green. Cool build around.
Good card is good, but LOVE the flavor text on the dossier version.
Agree, and the art on it is great too. This is one of the only (maybe the only?) dossier versions that I really like significantly more than the original version.
Wow, I really like this. 2U to make a 2/2 ward 2 (with potential flipping upside) and buyback 1U, and the last token you make before buying back is an unblockable 3/2 instead. Just a great rate for a token maker and then there are the artifact synergies, entering the battlefield synergies, cloak/disguise synergies... there is a lot going on here.
All good points!

good catch!

Yes, but they said that stealing from opponent was worth *more* than drawing from your own. You’re making the opposite point. I agree with your point.

This is generally worse than draw X for XBB at instant speed, but stealing is fun!
