By that logic, you are saying that Commander Legends, for instance, should be treated as not allowed in commander, because it wasn't in standard.

I don't give a crap about Universes Beyond, but saying "If that was really true, they would be legal in Standard" as a test for how much Wizards believes in their product is B.S., and you know it. If everything released was for standard, there would be no Commander Decks each year.

I'm not really sure that this news has anything to do with me. I mean I'm not a Warhammer 40k fan, and I'm not enough of a LotR fan to buy into MtG LotR, so there is that. On the other hand who cares what other people play with, as long as it isn't in standard/historic/pioneer/modern. I guess my biggest concern is if they print something that F's up pauper, but after the last couple of years, that is always a concern. So: don't care one way or another.
....but, if they are taking requests for properties to have a crossover with: Big Trouble in Little China and/or The Princess Bride.

It's not really hating to point out where companies just shill out a product because 'special group x' has an event, event with a double standard. I've bought a bunch of the secret lairs so far and for most of it have enjoyed the products, but tokenism is still sickening.
You need to educate yourself on what "tokenism" is. This is not that. Right now, what you are doing is broadcasting that you despise the thought of money being raised for a specific charity, or that charity itself. Either way, you are a racist who has no place here.
The word 'lynch' is racist when used to mean somthing other than "(of a mob) kill (someone), especially by hanging, for an alleged offense with or without a legal trial" (Oxford Languages). It was not something that only happened in America to people of color. It has happened elsewhere to others, and an attempt to cry 'racist' to that description of injustice is an attempt co-opt or diminish the suffering of those peoples.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. If it's "it ruins my immersion" then why are other, real-world, things allowed? (like Arabian Nights, Shakespeare quotes, or Frankenstein's Monster)
I'm inclined to believe that people are upset about mechanically unique cards being limited-released, and, if that is the case, WHY ISN'T THE RESERVED LIST BANNED IN ALL FORMATS?
