For my peasant cube, I ended up cutting cards with buyback, not because they were not too powerful, but the fun factor with my usual group that plays the cube. They can create miserable play experiences that I wanted to avoid in my peasant environment. Cards like Guardian of the guildpact, blastoderm and caliderm just don't cut it anymore in my peasant cube and I ended up cutting them a long time ago. Crystal Shard was cut for a similar reason as the buyback cards. Over time, it just ended up being an exercise in misery for whoever played against a really good shard deck and I was asked many times to remove it. I think the red and white shrines are still ok, they have played well in recent drafts and my group still love the red shrine, so no cutting that one for a while form me at least. Just my thoughts on a few of these cards.
Wish I had seen this earlier, I want to try a different start using this site more. I have e been a very longtime lurker here and this site helped me so much to get my peasant cube where it is today. This average cube list helps me so much every year. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your work on this project.
