Used to play UW and Bant control in legacy a long time ago, and now im playing casually with friends and want to play competitive in post covid local tournaments.
I want to build a control deck around these cards, or at leats some of them (that i already own):
- Moat
- Peacekeeper
- Ghostly Prision
- Propaganda
Maybe
- Humility
- Dueling Grounds
Ive checked EDHrec and seen Agnus Mackinzie. its pretty expensive, but i could get it if there are no other options, since i don`t want al these amazing control cards to be laying around with no use. Maybe Tuvasa or Amareth? Dunno. It doesn´t have to be enchantment themmed.
I could go for a helm of obedience winconm, or maybe a stoneforge build.
EDIT: I rather not play black (i have all the other dual and fetchlands)
hi all!! i am returning to magic after a 9 year break. My LGS used to organize Duel Commander tournaments and i want to star building a deck for post covid tournaments.
I asked around and they have told me that the meta is full with aggro, with some other decks. specifically they have mention: Kari Zev, Tajic, Tymna-Trasios, Kytheon // And also Hoggak, Titania
So i was wondering which commanders do you think would work in this meta? i used to play legacy (BANT, UW, UR) so i have dual lands and fetchlands (so lucky that i didn't seel them all!), thats why i don't want to play black.
