Isn't having associated merchandise ready when your product releases normal? You think they wait to see what characters people like before they start cranking out the Star Wars toys? Hell no.
I will grant that something does look a bit off about the plushy, though.
in Italian the verbs "tappare" and "stappare" means "to plug" and "to unplug". to avoid any misunderstanding, they use full capitals to tell you it's NOT the normal verbs but game terms adapted into Italian verbs
I do think there's a chance this gets used (in Standard, it's almost certainly unplayable anywhere else). Yes, it combines a three mana rock and life gain and both of those things are famously not great, but the situation where 3 mana rocks are at their worst is also the one where life gain is at its best. Part of the reason The Celestus is good is that the little bit of life gain it provides can stabilize you in an aggro matchup. I'd say this is better than Undergrowth Recon that people were oohing and aahing over in MKM previews.
I'll grant it's not exciting as a Mythic, but I assume the original set had different rarities for some of these cards - there were only 10 mythics in MAT and only 20 in most sets. This and Hostile Investigator both seem like they may have come from the uncommon slot.
Not sure about this one. The bit of life gain from The Celestus can really stabilize you, but that also draws cards. This trades being playable in any color and the card draw for more life gain and not being legendary, which is not a great trade on the face of it, but it might be enough extra life.

Huh. Thanks!

Yeah, a bunch of cards went up around then. Was that also when people realized Lotus Petal was good?
Right after it was printed the first time?
Not sure about the other, but the answer to this one is definitely yes.
Yes, but you need those and the upkeep stuff. It's a lot of pieces to put together.
