Honestly I still rather like Rattleclaw Mystic just to make the jump from 3 mana to 4 mana for collected company, so the creatures only clause negates the tacked on haste requirement.

I dont hate any cards personally, I'm just disappointed in a few faeries because they could have had playable potential
Briarberry Cohort (for not having flash)
Groundling Pouncer (if the ability were more commonly activated Id be happy with it)
Nectar Faerie (for its ability being a tap ability)

They should start with good blue and black cards first :-p Id have no complaints

Id like to point out that smokebraider ramps into him and incandescent soulstoke cheats him in for 2 mana and gets free damage from triggers. Still dont like that 7 mana cost though

Sometimes this deck stumbles in its setup, so at least for me, discard lessens the impact of the opponent until we are able to get the engines and impact of our deck up and running, not to mention simply being a crutial tool for keeping the opponent off balance. But that is just my perspective

We really dont seem to have time for hard card advantage, or subpar filtering, if you really think about it. The current cards do slow us down and dont produce value in a time relative to the deck being buried by the opponent. So virtual card advantage is the game

Plan ahead to switch watery graves for 3 polluted delta and another basic, or river of tears. That lifeloss really does adds up. And get a few go for the throat to replace a smother or two

I dont have any luck with jace as a card source most times, and the 1/3 body might block effectively when necessary. But we shall see

Time warp faeries is definitely an interesting version i think; but my thoughts on remand are less than stellar in a deck that has a systematic need to answer problems. I am testing shadowmage infiltrator currently though, with the new artwork it was put on my radar.

I think the cards chosen are as such because of their positive position in most matchups. Im not a fan of batterskull main myself because I only play 24 lands and no draw-sources, So getting to 5 mana with a high costed card can be kinda tight. Liliana has always been good in the 75 but maindeck right now its weird.

No I cannot, because I would also have counters.

Ionize is complete trash. The kinds of decks that would benefit from the 2 damage would never want to spend 3 mana doing it. Another disappointment in a long line of disappointing URx spells. I was hopeful after seeing Assassin's Trophy, but then I remembered this is Wizards we're talking about.

As a former BGx player, I'm happy for such a boost to that archtype.
As a control player, it really baffles me how they could print such an obviously strong card but consider actual Counterspell too strong.

6 mana is too much. 3 toughness is too small. Artwork is too cool.

Does Firemind's Research have potential use for Storm's Sideboard? It gives the deck a different avenue that avoids graveyard hate.

Haven't really seen anything modern playable yet, fingers crossed for some great UB surveil cards...

I've even seen Disallow in Modern, I want Counterspell in Modern.

If someone wants to get really skilled at MTG just play tempo for a while. You basically win by such small margins it really makes it important to weigh how to use the resources one draws into effectively.

Different people have different goals. If I use racing games as an example, there are people that love and play Mario Kart (super swingy, super high variance), there are people that love Assetto Corsa (hardcore racing sim, high skill outclasses low skill every time), and there are people that love blends between the two (Need for Speed games, Forza Horizon, etc). I feel for the most part, Magic exists somewhere between Need for Speed and Mario Kart (closer to NFS), which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I would prefer it lean more towards the Assetto Corsa direction instead, but understand that many more like it as is.
