Haha i was just thinking the same thing. These names are so metal.
Im feeling there is a bit too much mass LD. I will replace 2 of the weaker ones for Decree of Annihilation (since it's uncounterable outside stifle effects) and another resilient threat. Perhaps some sort of animating artifact?
CARDS THAT ARE SLIGHTLY WEAK
Smoke: My meta usually wants to untap with just their general anyway. (Except for Azami but I'm already geared for her
Tectonic Break: I usually find this a lot worse than Thoughts of Ruin
Keldon Firebombers: Meh. Three lands is three lands and a 3/3 body is not worth 5 mana. Hes "alright" late game but by that point I've destroyed lands a bunch of times so everybody only has 3 or 4 and a 3/3 aint getting me anywhere. And if I see him early he just plain sucks
I really like Foriysian Totem. It dodges sorcery speed removal AND ramps. Guardian Idol is along the same lines. I love the idea of still having creatures (even small ones) after Wildfire and Destructive Force. Not to mention wrath effects. Also I think I want a bit more looting effects so I'm gonna add in Rummaging Goblin
I like Koth, but Im not sure where to fit him... I could maybe lose Otherworld Atlas or Dwarven Miner! With the amount of LD I have he's pretty much useless. Im wondering how good he will be with so much land destruction? I'll want to get rid of my mountains more than anything since my non basics are so important. On the other hand, I DO play with crucible of worlds...
Blood Moon and Stranglehold are kind of hit or miss. They're either really fantastic or just slightly irksome. Any good ideas on a replacement? Same goes for Detritivore They are all prime targets for my discard spells when I don't need them so I guess there's that?
Hi everyone! Thanks for the click. Ive been looking for a mono colour general that can have a great time in the more casual EDH group while still holding its own against the competitive blue-driven meta. I picked Adamaro because he was one of the first foils I ever got and very few people know he exists. (And he's usually surprisingly large haha)
The idea behind the deck is to quickly ramp with mana rocks and then drop Adamaro and blow up land after land. Red is the colour for artifact hate so Ive included a ton of that as well... and Mycosynth Lattice plus Vandalblast is just dirty as hell.
From the get-go, most people will see Adamaro and think, 'Oh, I'll play tons of Howling Mine effects and everybody will love me and I'll kill them and haha." But you must remember, red is the crappiest colour in commander. Everyone's cards are better than yours and you definitely don't want them to have MORE toys to kill you with. Solution? Blow up their lands of course! You can't play anything without lands now can you?
Mikokoro, Center of the Sea, Temple Bell: Cards for everyone which fuels Adamaro. I know I said these are a bit dangerous but hey... what options do we really have in red?
While path does get rid of her, it doesn't STOP her, and thats the issue. She'll at least draw cards off your path (and be recast, AND get a land) so you're losing CA there.
As for Nevermore...eh. Its ok if multiple people in your game are playing the same colour but its more pre-emptive than reactive which I think white does better. If you want an effect like that I would suggest Runed Halo
Nice deck! I also run 8.5 tails in a more midrange type shell. One word of advice would be to not underestimate Story Circle as it can give you protection from generals with shroud or hexproof! (provided you chose that colour when you cast it) I usually use it without 8.5 tails as a separate means of protection against the most threatening general. Oh and DEFINITELY include Pithing Needle and maybe even Phyrexian Revoker because mono white has very few ways of dealing with decks like Azami. Plus you can recur them with Sun Titan if they get destroyed!
Thanks for the comments guys! I will definitely replace Cartographer with Knight of the White Orchid. (Completely forgot he existed haha)
As for Wall of Omens, I usually nab a couple of cards with it each game due to Restoration Angel, Mimic Vat and Sun Titan. Its just a nice card that can chump block and draw cards. (Albeit slowly) And white needs all the draw it can get. As for Forbidding Watchtower... ehh... it's alright. I think another plains would be better.
The reason I dont run the protection circles is that if 8.5 ISNT out... it gives me protection from the most threatening colour. I do agree though that it's one of the weaker cards in the deck overall.
Hmm... I really like Spirit of the Labyrinth but I feel it puts a huge target on me haha. I try to avoid the hatebear route, I think its more suited for an aggressive build like Hound or Hokori!
Hello everyone! It's been a while (a loooong while) since I posted a deck list here and i was wondering if you guys had any advice for my multiplayer commander deck : ) I love mono colour and think it encourages creativity more so than having 3+ colours. The deck is extremely fun to play and very interactive! You can easily make friends with this deck and nobody is too mad losing to Stuffy Doll haha. So, without further ado, here is my 8.5 Tails commander deck! I'll explain some nice synergies after.
What we have here is an instant kill against your most threatening opponent. If you have Tawnos's Coffin in play, you can blink both Stuffy Doll AND Guilty Conscience to kill another player, and so on and so forth until you reign supreme.
- Gideon, Champion of Justice: Man this card is fun. You make him large then protect him with 8.5 Tails to smash through. The same can be said for every creature thats true, but this guy is often MASSIVE in Commander. (Particularly against token decks) Ive dropped him against deck like Prosh and made him a 18/18 as soon as he steps in. Combine that with a gamewinning ultimate (or Swords) and you've got a great Voltron target.
- Glare of Heresy: With 8.5 Tails out, you can exile any permanent for no drawback. Pretty neat
- Story Circle: The reason this isn't Rune of Protection is because this gives protection from creatures with shroud or hexproof.
White has issues with Combo so that's why cards like Jester's Cap are in here. [/card]Pithing Needle[/card] and Phyrexian Revoker also help with this.
CARDS I'VE TRIED AND TAKEN OUT Scroll Rack: Never got it with Land Tax and is just kind of hard to pull off in multiplayer. (And everybody hates you) Steelshaper's Gift: This deck is not Voltron enough to require THREE equipment tutors. 2 is fine. Crawlspace/Silent Arbiter: My meta is mostly one big creature anyway so these always proved useless. Extraplanar Lens: Just always found it "meh". Early on, which is when you WANT this card, it blows up you land. And then somebody blows IT up. You're down a land. And a turn. Boo. This card, (and cards like it) are best suited for decks with huge bombs or for really fast metas imo. Pentarch Paladin: Never sticks. Ever Platinum Angel: Ditto Ghostly Prison; My meta is mostly full of general damage commanders who will easily leave 2 mana open to attack me.
Im wondering if a deck based around Endless Horizons could work? Basically giving you insane card advantage so that every card you draw means business. (well almost every card) I imagine this would be a deck with Entreat the Angels and other big cards. Any ideas for this?
and a bunch of control and draw this could be pretty neat. I'm really hopping for some sort of Sorin's Thirst type removal spell. (Not with cipher obviously)

Some card choice explanations!
Boseiju, Who Shelters All: Uncounterable land destruction? I'll take it.
Mikokoro, Center of the Sea, Temple Bell: Cards for everyone which fuels Adamaro. I know I said these are a bit dangerous but hey... what options do we really have in red?
Mycosynth Lattice: This is a big one. So many powerful synergies with this card.
1. With Karn, Silver Golem we get 1: destroy target land.
2. With Vandalblast: we get 4R: lose target friend
3. With Goblin Welder: we can just have way too much fun swapping.
4. With Viashino Heretic: we can destroy any permanent for 2R
5. With Shattering Spree: we get Vindicate on crack
Blood Moon, Price of Glory, Stranglehold: Your standard red hate. We have few reasons to tap for mana during an opponents turn so Price of Glory is especially dirty.
Greater Gargadon: Nothing is sweeter than having this guy suspended when you decide to blow up all lands. He is definitely the greatest gargadon.
Volcanic Offering: This card is insane. Play with it, you'll see why. Its a 4 for 1. Instant. In RED!
What do y'all think? Any advice?

SOME NICE SYNERGY WITH EIGHT-AND-A-HALF-TAILS
- Gideon, Champion of Justice: Man this card is fun. You make him large then protect him with 8.5 Tails to smash through. The same can be said for every creature thats true, but this guy is often MASSIVE in Commander. (Particularly against token decks) Ive dropped him against deck like Prosh and made him a 18/18 as soon as he steps in. Combine that with a gamewinning ultimate (or Swords) and you've got a great Voltron target.
