Oblivion Sower is one of the best cards in this deck. I don't think it's correct to run less than 4. If anything, I'd cut Herder before Sower. Sower gives you uncounterable mana ramp regardless of what's in the opponent's graveyard or exile zone. It's unconditional ramp, essentially, with a fat body left over.
Do you guys realize that with Urborg in play, Eye of Ugin is essentially a Mishra's Workshop with a late-game tutoring ability?
Mishra's Workshop. One of the most powerful lands ever printed and banned in every format but Vintage. And here we have a Modern deck that essentially is playing it for all intensive purposes.
This deck is going to rip through the Pro Tour and get some card from its decklist banned. I'm certain of it. Enjoy it while you still can, guys.
I recommend you look at that price listing a bit more closely. Good luck getting them for that.
The only copies I'm seeing that have moved appreciably upward are the foil copies which are now 15+ - normal copies are still plentiful at about 40 cents.
Are we talking about the Stranglers or Eyes? I was considering buying a set of foil Stranglers the other day but the pricing varied too much ($2.50-$5) and no four ofs so I just got my set of non-foils at less than a dollar each if you include shipping costs. They do seems to be going up a little bit but still under a dollar.
Eye of Ugin is probably past the point of no return; I have two copies on the way that I got last week for normal pricing, probably won't be getting more.
Man, that price spike is crazy. I thought Eye would spike somewhat but because of multiple printings I didn't think it would hit $20+.
I'm so glad I got all my Eyes already when they were cheap, right before the spike happened.
This card is insanely good. This is going to be the next Baneslayer Angel for control decks in Standard and possibly even Modern.
Constructed chase rare for sure.
Think about it this way: in a control deck, 98% of the time at this point in the game (6 mana) you're getting 8 power / 8 toughness with flying, AND 5 life. And that 8/8 is split across two bodies, which makes it even better (a la WIngmate Roc, Broodmate Dragon, Thragtusk, etc.) That's really good.
I like Drown in Sorrow post-board against lots of decks in Modern. Does a number on Elves, Affinity, Infect, Boggles, and the like. Because of Urborg, this is one of the few decks in the format that can really play Drown in Sorrow consistently, and it's quite powerful if you can hit it on turn 3 consistently.
So I just want to post my weekly reminder to buy ALL Eldrazi Processor cards you see right now for low prices while you still can. I'm pretty sure the deck is going to explode in value when it top8s the upcoming Pro Tour, and right now all the critical stuff is pretty cheap - Eldrazi Temple, Oblivion Sower, Blight Herder, Eye of Ugin, Relic of Progenitus, Wasteland Strangler.

How long will this bubble last?

Or has Gaddock permanently eclipsed $30 at least, similar to what happened to Blood Moon and Oblivion Stone?
Are people speculating on it now that it has been confirmed by Wizards that Grove will *not* be an Expedition in the upcoming set?
I've usually found that the Tron deck that searches for Ghost Quarter usually wins.
Modern and Legacy provide all the entertainment and enjoyment I need out of Magic in my life right now.
