Can anyone advise on my MD/SB? I feel like I do not have enough creatures to support 3x Larks. Moreover, what are the bad matchups for R/W Lark? I have no idea of my meta game since I haven't played for almost 3 months. I am sure there is a mirror match up and probably 5cc.
Funny, thats my exact build except I am running 4 Pools and 1 Mountain. But I am still waiting on my PtE and Banefires.
The board, as stated should drop KoM, Wispmare is a great option. I don't use Purge in the board as Red/Black is not common in my meta. Otherwise it looks solid to me.
Why do ppl act like Path to Exile is some crazy new removal spell thats gonna change the game? It pretty much presents the same problems as Condemn. So who cares?
I agree, in this case, Mono-Red P2E is almost exactly the same as Condemn since our creatures are always turned sideways.
My case about Lich's Mirror seems to be nullified, even running Demigod would probably be better, and even that would be a bad choice with only 20 land. Clearly, I did not think that through.
This looks similar to my list sans the Hell's Thunder. I can't see myself ever unearthing the Hell's Thunder while running 20 lands, and Shard Volley. Rather than the Hell's Thunder, I was testing Lich's Mirror.
I think maindecking at least 3 forge tenders is probably the right call in post conflux standard. Any thoughts about replacing mogg fanatics with forge tenders?
I don't think replacing them is a good idea. I would play 2 Forgetenders depending on meta. If there is a lot of Volcanic Fallouts or 5cc then, yes, it is a good idea to play more than 1 MD. Moreover, even with just two, you can tool box for them or Lark them back.
My infatuation with creatures? If you're talking about Burrenton Forge-Tender, then I think you and I both know why creatures are usually the better choices.
And Knight of the White Orchid is mana-fixing if you play it correctly. Like, whenever you go second he's mana-fixing, and he certainly can be in other games. Like, if you draw him past turn two he sets your curve like a charm. After all, your deck still runs 25 lands and can still curve out regardless.
So would you run Knight of the White Orchid over mind stones? Moreover, what if you are on the play. If I win the die roll, would it be the the right decision to draw?
Are you talking about the list on page one that doesn't know if it should be called esperlark or bantlark? Because I wouldn't run mastermind in that build either.
first: what is the definition of "janky"
second: i am playing 4 cryptics
third: i would play P2E and other conflux but i dont think it is legal till sat and i am playing FNM...
i agree with the moderator that the right play may be to play neither of them. i am liking the mastermind more atm but am not sure if i should even play it... plus my sideboard needs help. cant decide if i really need rune hallow.
my spell choices are bothering me as well.

PtE is legal on Friday the 6th. I am scared as hell as I won't have my set yet.
I enjoy playing Esper Lark, but Shin's list has been very well optimized. Mastermind seems wasteful.

Scattershot Archer should not be boarded just for Spectral Tokens, if that happened, Kithkin should have taken both Game 1 and 2.

The user said "Ranger/harbinger", so first you toolbox for Harbinger, then cast it. Next turn, you will draw either Fulminator or Wispmare.

Anything else I should consider playing before my Conflux cards get here?
Ooops, I was thinking of something else.
B) Who is actually playing Teeg?
I ran into a Realm Razor w/ Tegg Aggro-ish, one of the better players in my area ran it. Played it very well.
C) Can't you just beat face with a Lark if happen to play against someone playing Teeg? It hits 9 cards in your deck. That's not the end of the world.
Got destroyed by his aggro/Tegg, then Razor finished me off. Clearly a bad match up, but at least P2E will help.
No. The deck is posted in Shin's Extendo Sig.
Is there any good answer in Esper Lark to Tegg other than PtE, Remove Soul, O-Ring?
If my opponent lands that G1 T2, it's over.

I want to attend FNM, but I don't want to run into PTE or anything yet when I still have not received my cards.
