Because WotC hates you - yes, you personally.
I wish Vorel cost URG so I could run Dismantle.
Still, I'm sure they'll print that UR artifacts-matter legendary creature eventually. -

It's kind of like when Frodo was hiking up Mt. Doom with Sam, but under the influence of the one ring could no longer remember the details of his life in the Shire. We've all been Stockholmed into using Curse and can't really remember much about old MTGS, except that it was better.Quote from Flatline »Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but, what is the problem with Curse? I've heard others blame the switch to Curse for the rapid decline in participation in the card creation threads, but I don't really remember MTGS before the switch. -

Tiro of Meletis posted a message on Gideon Compelling Character or Shallow Eye Candy?Posted in: Magic StorylineQuote from hrrr3 »Gideon is quite the hunk, agreed. Unfortunately there's not more to his character than righteousness, which is a total bore. I'd like to see him facing an inner conflict, where he'd have to choose something over something, and that trauma haunting him later on, or some other more meaningful ways to get some depth in... meaning, I haven't completely given him up yet.Gideon can go right ahead and get some depth in Jace IMO, wouldn't mind seeing some of that -

Squirrelclamp posted a message on Eldritch Moon General Discussion ThreadPosted in: Magic StorylineQuote from daved74 »And how did Jace NOT know? How was Emrakul not his first (and only) guess to "Well, what's going on here?" especially after coming from Zendikar after just trapping the other two titans. The idea that Emrakul went to some other plane had to have crossed his mind, and then he gets to Innistrad and weird things are happening, and he doesn't think once it might be Emrakul? (I know the answer is "Plot" but even still, it would be nice to see it addressed, a real reason given... something.)
Jace didn't have most of the clues that we did. Until Emrakul actually appeared, his trip to Innistrad was the equivalent of getting drunk, sending a regrettable text message to his ex-girlfriend, getting more drunk, sending a more regrettable text message to his ex-girlfriend, accidentally meeting a local celebrity at a bar and somehow hitting it off, and then leaving with her to check out a heavy metal concert in which the lead singer inexplicably tries to kill her fans before ultimately being killed by her manager. -

Flisch posted a message on Will Innistrad Get Destroyed?I believe Emrakul will be sealed inside the moon and her warping presence will keep seeping out into the world, thus turning Innistrad into a permanent horror world. Truth be told, it was hard to justify having Innistrad as a horror world after Avacyn Restored, but this way you can keep mutations (monsters in the woods) and madness (crazy scientists and/or cults) to keep up the horror atmosphere, whenever Wizards needs it. All of that without the need to justify why there is horror once more.Posted in: Magic Storyline -

hrrr3 posted a message on Will Innistrad Get Destroyed?Personally, I choose to believe it would add more to the story, if Innistrad goes down.Posted in: Magic Storyline
Gatewatch would receive a big blow and their confidence gets crushed, and it would heat up the Sorin and Nahiri feud.
And despite Innistrad being a very popular world, to me it seems like a one-trick pony, which I have now seen twice. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

This guy originally made a 0/1 Plant, and then could put +1/+1 counters on tokens, but I decided Swarmyard Tribal is funnier.
Maybe if I post more, I'll actually finish this thing? Here goes nothin'.
Unmarked Grave W
Enchantment
When Unmarked Grave enters the battlefield, create 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control no Spirits, create 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying.
Private Eye U
Creature - Homunculus
Private Eye can’t be blocked unless defending player player pays 2 for each creature blocking it.
Whenever Private Eye deals combat damage to a player, investigate. (Put a colorless Clue artifact token onto the battlefield with “2, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.”)
1/1
Ravening Bloodlord 3RR
Creature - Vampire Berserker
Haste
Whenever Ravening Bloodlord deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on Ravening Bloodlord.
Whenever Ravening Bloodlord deals combat damage to a creature, Ravening Bloodlord deals that much damage to that creature’s controller.
3/3
Silas Renn’s Skull 2
Legendary Artifact
1, T: Scry 1.
5, T, Sacrifice Silas Renn’s Skull: Choose a card you own from outside the game and put it into your hand.
2
Ham Scam 2UU
Sorcery
Target creature’s controller creates a 2/2 green Boar creature token. Gain control of that creature.
Riteborn Demon 3BBB
Creature — Demon
Flying, trample
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Riteborn Demon is in your graveyard, you may pay 1B. If you do, create a 1/1 black Cleric creature token.
Sacrifice three black creatures: Return Riteborn Demon from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery.
6/6
Virulent Swarmlord 1G
Creature — Elf Shaman
When Virulent Swarmlord enters the battlefield, create a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token.
G: Target Insect, Rat, Spider, or Squirrel creature gains deathtouch until end of turn.
Say hello to my little friends.
1/1
Treasure Goblin R
Creature — Goblin Rogue
Whenever Treasure Goblin attacks, defending player may pay 2. If he or she does, that player exiles the top card of his or her library. That player may play that card until the end of their next turn.
How lucky!
