My final prediction is no changes. I am hoping for an unban on Bitterblossom, Ponder, Preordain, Nacatl, GGT, Ancestral Vision, and/or GSZ right now. If anything other than Deathrite Shaman or Scavenging Ooze gets banned, I am quitting the format for Legacy.
Why would Scooze ever be banned? Its not exactly tearing up the format
I would quit if they are stupid enough to ban scooze
Shouldn't DRS be enough against Reanimator since they only reanimate one creature at a time?
I beat reanimator in legacy just by resolving turn 1 Deathrite shaman. Also won vs ANT by messing up his ritual progression when I exiled a cabal ritual as he cast Past in Flames
If you're running Monocolor the only dualland worth playing are the Scrylands or Manlands. Otherwise everything is inferior to basic lands, as you only need the one color.
And if the format was slow enough, yes, the Taplands are fine. Except that the Scrylands, Zendikar Lifelands, and the Manlands are all better by default than the Invasion Taplands. Technically even the Guildgates are better than the Invasion Taps, simply because Gate is sometimes relevant.
Modern will also never be that slow.
Maybe if they unban jace, misstep, vision, sword, blossom, and ban all the fast combo deck cards as well as dr s
Red Sinkhole would be too pushed, and Stone Rain's been on the decline in sets because reports have shown players really hate getting hit by Stone Rain.
To suggest Sinkhole is out of the question, people don't like having their lands stolen from them blown up in their face; at least Boom tries to lie through its teeth about being symmetrical (it isn't, you always blow up your own fetchland, or a Flagstones of Trokair, or maybe even a Ghost Quarter while opting to crack it against another land for whatever reason you so desire. Point is that Boom is symmetric in printed text only.).
Only the Flagstone trick works on turn 2, the others can only be done if you have an untapped fetch/ghost quarter already in play, which means turn 3 at the earliest.
Yeah I wish they would give red something more playable for modern. Fulminator Mage and Molten Rain are pretty good but we need something that cost 2 vs tron
Are you kidding? Deathrite was more powerful than either Bitterblossom or Nacatl, this change makes perfect sense
Giving your opponent a choice to sacrifice is typically a black ability

I prefer this one too. I would feel really bad to sacrifice this card for nothing, even if it is cheap.
Why top? I don't consent to its banning
Anyway, 6 hours to go!!! Who is ready for "Modern: no changes"
I'm so excited. Can't wait to stay up until 12:00 only to read "All formats: no changes" Its going to be a blast!

Actually, that gives me a deck idea
