What happened to the price of boxes recently? I haven't played really in about 8 months, but I don't remember them being over 100$. Is it hype, expected pack values, inflation, increased cost of production? Can someone explain.
I already have shocklands, so I'm debating whether it's even worth it to drop 120-130$ that the big two have boxes for.
I've had this idea for a while, since MTGO really became a thing. Even if it wasn't 1:1 on packs, it could just be promo cards, special tokens, special avatars, free entry to an underplayed format even, or 10:1 on packs.
They could do tons of stuff and it feels like they're not taking advantage. Even the 10$ they would get from new accounts seems totally worth it.
Yes, I understand that Aura. Again though, with very little details, you can't necessarily prove it. The statement just says that he owns an account that was selling suspected stolen goods. My point is it's not like a stereo with serial numbers or something; Not to dismiss what he 99.99% did given the circumstances, it's just going to be tough to prove unless someone witnessed it. A shame for CFB.
Not to sound like I'm defending him, but is there any evidence what was taken was the same cards being sold on ebay through his account? I think most people are pretty sure given the circumstances, but is there any way to prove card X is the same as card Y on ebay? Might be hard to prove if they do charge him criminally.
Is it so bad that people voice their concerns about not liking the set? The other side of the fence has people complaining about people not liking the set.
Personally it's ok, not my favorite set ever and not the worst. As far as comparisons, I think it's worse than Rise for the 'standalone block set'. It feels like the first two sets went out of their way to pack horror tropes and this feels disconnected, whether intentional or not, it's Angels vs Demons with lucky topdecks.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to quit magic or anything, but this set fails to deliver the goods from a constructed perspective. I just hope limited is good enough to really turn my opinion around about a third-set standalone, as Rise was.
Mikaeus is sick,
The Devils reminds me of charm breaker devils. Won't see play in standard but a nice build around me type of card that can break games open for limited.
I'm just glad it's not an enchantment and is on a solid enough body. Red (and blue) always seem to get the crappy block mechanic enchantments.
Someone at wizards must have really liked the jund deck. Reminds me of the large amount of promos the U/G madness deck got, I just don't see the purpose of printing such specific lands like teetering peeks or savage lands instead of something a little more universally playable since no one really touches extended unless they are forced to.
I would have liked to have seen preordain, but since it got banned / rotated out of relevant formats it probably won't happen

Go out to dinner with friends, order what you want, knowing 1 person has to pick up the tab via some random selection method.

Still, I'm glad I never invested in this format.
