Maybe cuts the MD Bog, there aren't enough decks to warrant it since Maze of Ith deals with KoTR and that's really all Bog is good against. Adding another Maze wouldn't be a bad idea in that slot. You should be able to beat dredge game 1 unless they do something crazy, then you jut bring in the crypts and hope for the best.
The 4th Thicket seems unnecessary and I cut it a long time ago for more business lands, like Karakas which is an auto MD card given all the Emrakul cheating that has been going on.
I really enjoy running Mishra's Factory in the MD since it is a nice 3/3 blocker and a decent beatstick if your opponent get 'Wasted'. It also hides your other wincons so they might board differently. I see space in the Underground Sea and the 4th Thicket. The Underground just seems awkward to me since Green is the lifeblood of the deck and without it you cannot operate effectively.
Maybe cut the 4th Manabond and the 4th Entomb for more factories since it is the worst accelerant post board and you'll still have 7 tutors. You usually want to keep the boarded cards in your hand and not discarded to the yard. Exploration let's this happen where Manabond does not. Turn 1 Manabond pass is just broadcasting to the world that you have good stuff, like Intuition or Bob etc, in your hand.
Try it and see if you like it. I agree that the loam consistency is subpar, but I can usually hold off decks or just cast an early Intuition off of Moxen. The Entombs you run should help with that issue.
Good luck with the best deck in the format.

Mar 11, 2011c7272 posted a message on Lands (Legacy)I understand some of the major points of the deck but I feel as though the Blue version is just better. I am biased because I currently play the Blue version but I played the Burning Wish version prior to 12/2009 and have tested a similar Entomb build.Posted in: D00msday Blog
The thing about Intuition is that if it resolves it should put you so far ahead of your opponent that they cannot keep up. I remember playing against Enchantress and reolved turn 2 Intuition for EE, LftL and Ruins. I got to keep the loam and the next turn I cast a second Intuition and he scooped. There is almost no way in which you lose a match where you tutor for 6 cards.
That being said, Tolaria West is one of the strongest enablers in the deck. When you are Loaming with Tolaria West you start to almost Demonic Tutor every turn in addition to whatever you are bringing back. I run 3 so I can usually get the engine online fairly quickly, either using Intuition or dredging.
4 Ghost Quarters is probably not the best number. I have found 2 is more than enough with the tutor effects in the deck but whatever works for you works for you.
Lands, as a whole, is an unfair deck because it breaks the basic tenant of Magic that you can play one land per turn. With only 4 Manabonds I feel as though your deck doesn't capitalize on this concept. By adding the additional Explorations you almost guarantee that you play with the unfair advantage.
Mox Diamonds also add a nice speed boost in the earlier turns. They can let you cast your enchantment ramp and allow you to follow it up with something along the lines of Maze of Ith and Wasteland, or my personal favorite Maze of Ith and Tabernacle after Zoo went turn 1 Wild Nacatl.
The advantages to your build are in it's consistency and resilience. It plays differently than the Blue version because you will almost always have access to an answer using your Burning Wishes and you will almost always have lftl early in the game because of your 1 cmc tutors for it. However, the blue heavy version can operate through just about anything with the correct artifact package. I run Ensnaring Bridge, Zuran Orb, Mindslaver, and EE main. There are times when I wish I had something like Tormod's Crypt but not enough times to warrant putting it main, Dredge and Reanimator style decks still lose to Ensnaring Bridge.
As I said, I am a bit biased by the deck list that I run but it's because I feel it is a stronger deck overall. I doubt you are limited by budgetary constraints if you have this current list assembled, although Tabernacle does make this deck extremely better if you can get your hands on one, and I would recommend that you maybe test out the Blue version on MWS or just proxy it up with someone in your playgroup.
I hope you enjoy playing the most hated control deck in Legacy. I mean really, how do lands win the game? You just put in 18-25 in the deck to play awesome spells, right? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.
I'm well aware. I have a general ballpark for what they could be worth, but I was hoping someone could provide a more recent sale that I could use in valuing them.
Does anyone here know of any sale prices for these in recent months? The last I have record of is one for $621.11 on 11/21/2011. A year later, how much more are these worth?
I picked up both of mine for far less, and straight line regression of the two prices would be laughed at by most rational people.
I'm sure they're fine.
The Cradle has a bit of wear on the top edge but is otherwise nice. I think I may have been bitten by the Korean bug just a little bit too hard, where will it end? My wallet weeps for the future.
If you can't see, the Dryad Arbor is Russian. Definitely my favorite pickup since I actually play it in a deck right now, not that I couldn't play something that used the B2B or the Cradle or Gemstone.
It's a good thing that the summer forest I am looking for wasn't at the event (the other two arts were present and accessible for those who wanted them), that could probably be a more dangerous path than Korean.
If you have picked up, sold, can offer hints as to its price? That would be much appreciated.
Unfortunately these cards are rather dificult to track down. eBay is almost no help, and when it's Chinese they're Traditional instead of Simplified. I am under the impression that the cards don't exist but I have 1 Brainstorm and 1 Dark Ritual, so I know they're out there.
Does anyone know a good place to get cards from this set? Does anyone have any experience dealing in it, and thus knowing some prices?
Any and all help is appreciated.
Academy Ruins because it combos ever so nicely with Mindslaver, another card I love to irritate people with.
Price of Glory is also a lot of fun when you play Red Prison EDH decks.
O, and Strip Mine because it's just super broken.
However, Word is one of the most unique spells in the game. Sadly they also don't print anything else of this nature because it's not "fun" to have your own spells used against yourself.
<So everyone knows, I have big hands>
I know I can ask for any language and their wholesaler will give it to them for in print sets in the preorder stage. I'm not sure about asking for random shipments, i.e. not prerelease time, but prior to the prerelease you should be able to ask them to order other languages.
I have about 40 cards I want to get signed by them.
My personal favorite, but what do I know? I really want to find a bunch of foil ones to play in whatever Legacy deck I'm running with Islands (usually 'Folk, soon to be High Tide). I have about 10 T-Chinese ones but I really like it in foil, sadly I only have 2 foils of it.
I've dealt with one buyer on more than one occasion and always send a few hundred dollars in cards towards him because he quotes great buy prices, gives a good credit boost if I want trade, and has good prices on the stock at the tournament. He helped me finish my 40 set of duals a few weeks ago, sold me decent foils, and a minty Chains of Mephistopheles.
I mean, 20 for a foil Gush, 45 for English Chains, 70 on NM U. Seas, 8 for a Judge Time Warp. How could I not buy from them?
The only time I liked dealing with a major vendor more was when one of StarCity's buyers wasn't terribly familiar with their buylist and I got way too much for my cards.
