Very interesting deck. I thought I was the only one playing Mardu Control. I figured it's decent against aggro decks with heaps of removal and good against Superfriends deck (Bedevil, Angrath's Rampage). My list is different from yours in that mine is more control-oriented and yours seems more Planeswalker or tap-out oriented. Now that you mention it, Sarkhan would be a really interesting addition. Here's my list, not perfect because I don't have all the cards I am after yet
This decklist seems very interesting as well! Tell me more about it and how it does and maybe we can tweak it to your liking. If you have the cards i recommend trying the planeswalker variant as well its very fun to play with.
Ive done some heavy testing and this deck is solid and just a few adjustments needed. Since i dont play creatures, i figured gideon is a bit lackluster even though hes a solid planeswalker. Mainboarded 2/3 deafening clarion cause its awesome haha.
So i've been toying around with this and found a very powerful way to use these 3 beloved colors.
Seeing and playing Grixis control had me wondered to how these 3 colors would work as a control and planeswalker heavy deck.
So lets just cut to the case.
This deck is around using the new sorin and sarkhan with a bunch of other planeswalkers to get there swinging and getting that sweet lifegain from the sorin passive! It really is fun to play with and plays like a real control deck.
I've set up this decklist atm and im having a blast so far!
So this is what i've been brewing with and i hope people like or have this kind of idea as well! If so lets talk about it and come up with upgrades to this deck!
Nice list of cards! I got some good ideas from it which i didnt come up with. And i do have like the half of the list in my version of yuriko as well and at the same time keeping the ninja flavor alive while playing every ninja there is besides the sakashims student, but thats just a matter of time haha
I do play as foretold since its each turn it can be so good in this deck.
Tbh i can see some sack outlets work for us but rather have bounce outlets just for the ninjustsu and we can allways send commander to the zone.
So what can we do about this? Was thinking about crystal shard we we can at least bounce a ninjustu guy at end of the turn or force someone to pay the mana or bouncing their creature.
It's very meta dependent. In my group it's far less creature based so Yuriko having someone to connect with very consistently isn't often a problem, with groups that have more creatures I think a route with more bounce or removal would work better
I do have a group where boardwipes are inevitable and at the same time creature based.
Need to build up more experience in playing the deck, cause im hesitated to ninjutsu into an already attacking ninja and id rather ninjutsu a non ninja creature. But there arent a lot of ninjas so i guess i should do that, but the greedyness inside of me wants more connecting ninjas haha

It may have been a bad night, but 2 players were basically making sure I had no creatures out after they saw what I did with them, so I got nowhere fast, I might need to add something dumb like DD/Labman. I love the commander though, I'm just having trouble with my meta letting me use her. lol
...
Yeah thats the thing. When they see you beat all 3 at the same time they know what youre going to do so they just "waste" their removal on our little guys to make sure we dont ninjustu their ass.
So far the deck has been performing very strong even without the extra turns and the only one im even considering is the planeswalker: Mu Yanling which isn't fast but it seems fun haha. And how many unblockable 1 and 2 drops are necessary for good consistency?
I just got this commander and build it around the ninja theme and drawing life ofcourse. But the playgroup doesnt like the extra turns cards so should i just go like fk it and use them and get hated or can it work just the same way without the extra turn cards?

Yeah i totally skipped that one haha. Will for sure put in 2 of in the build
