Recently I've had quite a bit more free time. Still not as much as I used to have, but I reckon it's enough to run a tournament, especially using the bidding protocol we've all but established (Player 1 sends his bids and posts that he has bid in the thread; Player 2 sends his bids and posts them in the thread, Player 1 posts his bids and you can start without the moderator).
What we need:
-Players!
-A format. I really like the old 3 packs - 2 decks - tiebreaker game with the decks that lost format (quite possibly because it's the least work for me), but we could so something else too.
-A set. Options I've been thinking about are Ravnica (to celebrate the return to Ravnica, of course) and Coldsnap; What do you think?
Brace for mass PM quoting and post editing/deleting. Also expect everyone to PM everyone else and start playing 90% of the game behind the scenes.
I haven't thought of that. New plan: I'll post the rules that regard stuff such as this (no editing etc.) but redact the rules that refer to the phase structures (day/night rules) and voting.
I'm planning to run a game somewhere else, but I'd love to have some role advice from you guys - and ideas, too. I'd rather not post it, though, so PM me if you're interested; The gimmick is mostly time travel, and some other things.
Thing about the game, I'm planning it in Mao format - no rules are posted.
After playing with a town full of sheep that think 72-hour days are the best thing ever because a day that dragged on for a week was too long, anybody would think like this
1 - How strict are you when picking which games to play? c) Moderately strict: I will probably join, unless something about the game (or the mod, or the players already signed up for it) doesn't suit my tastes at all.
2 - Which is more important? a) Having fun Winning is important to me, but I'd rather enjoy the game. I'd also include "improving" here
3 - Which statement suits you best? c) Winning is a matter of cohesion and organisation. I think it's not about having the best players, but about playing the best as a team.
4 - Which statement suits you best? a) Everyone should have fun playing. My core tenent as a new mafia host, and it extends to games as well.
5 - Which role do you like best? Can't answer. I liked my Neutral roles so far but I did play very well with them, or go against not-very-competent scum; I like the rush of playing as scum, and town is fun when my plans go right (and not just as a power role; I love it when (for example), as vannila, scum decide to pick me off - it's both a compliment and the knowledge that I prevented them from picking off a power role).
6 - Which role do you least like? See above.
7 - Which is the most important as town? d) To look town. This really got me thinking, and this one fits best here. The next option was convincing others, and I don't think it's about convincing per se as much as it is about getting them to think about things by themselves.
8 - Which is the most important as scum? d) To look town. Unlike the last one, this one took no thinking at all. If you're scum, the best thing you can do is to not be suspected.
9 - Which is the most important as a neutral? a) To be able to hide in plain sight. At least, based on my Duel Monsters Mafia experience as the SK. Looking town as a neutral is risky becuase the mafia may deem you a threat.
10 - How good are you as a player? c) Average at best.
I'd like to think this is different, but really, my best performance was actively lurking just right through most of Duel Monsters.
One of Ice or Wing is lying. Therefore, one of them is scum. They're both still willing to go along with plan 1. So we're going with the plan that the scum are apparently OK with. Does no one see the problem here?
I see your point, but I can't take it off the chart simply because we are certain that scum is voting for it. We voted, and that's the plan that won, so I do it.

Am I correct in assuming that my creatures are now functionally unblockable?
Also, I'm Ci|Kilor on steam.

I made the initial suggestion, and TIK agreed. We were very well aware that to have a shot at this, we needed you dead.
Not as much as you think; We went for Gamerz on night 2, but the back-up blocked that, and after that we were just looking for the back-up doctor.
As for the back-up doctor himself, I think it was a very nice twist. I have to ask, though, if he could self-protect; Seems too strong.
You guys were too quick to assume that a Godfather is unlikely, I'd say. It's not too uncommon in Basics from what I know.

@mod: votecount please?
