I'm really not excited about paying 6 mana for this to make my other 5-8 mana Sphinxes cost 2 less. If I'm playing this even in EDH and I'm trying to make Sphinx tribal it means I'm having to wait until I can ramp up mana for this for the rest of the deck to even be worth playing. As far as I'm concerned this is HOU's Chaos Imps. Not looking forward to opening these.

The cost reduction can help you play multiple sphinxes in a turn.

And, you know... a ton of card advantage from the ability you're ignoring.

He cost too much. Should've been 3UR. I like how easy it is to swarm with locusts tough. They definitely could've called these tokens "locust" with the creature type Insect.

5 mana for a flying 4/4 with a double bitterblossom attached? That deals damage to your opponent instead of you and scales? And loots? And can't die?

    Really, man?

Scarab Bro looks like he mills... Zzzzz

Let's hope that's not the case.

What is giving you that impression?

What a waste of full art lands. I think we get it...Bolas is in this set. I guess all the story, themed cards, and expansion symbol weren't enough.
    Better than hedrons, I say.

This comparison would be apt if the zen basics all had the same hedron in the same position.

I think this guy is way better than pithing needle. Seeing your opponent's hand is useful in itself but synergizes really well with the needle effect. It opens it up to cards needle can't hit or turns off cards a turn earlier, like making walkers totally useless instead of allowing the initial activation.

I really like the color scheme of the art, but man, she really seem to have dislocated her left arm.
As to why it costs so much well... If they had to equilibrate the PW decks then they needed something as slow as Bolas.
Yey, why another Nissa PW deck? Why not Samut?

And people complain about Jace getting one new card in Ixalan. Damn I'm getting tired of female Planeswalkers. Samut over Djeru next, then the native Ixalan PW is… female and the face character is… Vraska.
Be aware that saying this might mark you as a misoginist to the eyes of some people.
Looking at data, at the moment there are 20 male planeswalkers (both human and non-human) and 13 female ones (14 with Samut). Probably progressives at WotC feel that they have some catching-up to do.
I personally don't mind the sex and gender of a character as long as it is not just tokenism and as long as the character is interesting.
For example: Nahiri was interesting, as was Tamiyo.
Saheeli was not and neither was Kaya. Thy really felt like they thought "we need a black and an indian planeswalker, so we will look progressive to our audience, oh and we need more female walkers too!" and made those token representatives.

Why are white male characters "normal" and everything else has to be justified? You realize magic is a global game and women make up half the human population, right?

    iPhone autocorrect. Smile

I don't have any skin in the game really, I was just surprised by the reaction. Green creatures are really good now, but I think the guy is at least better than great oak guardian.

There's significantly more male planeswalker cards than female. I don't want to alarm you, but women make up approximately half of the population. So your comment is just sexist.

It's been a long time since I've played a cube with rares but I can't believe this isn't a 360 shoe-in. Is the gearhulk really that good? This guy is a lot better alone, which is pretty key for a control deck. A 3 turn clock your opponent can barely interact with is definitely not the most fun card, though.

Just because a company don´t lose money over a leak doesn´t mean it´s okay just to leak everything, especially if it´s illigal to do so. It´s still about respecting companies product and understanding the work and thought put into the products.

Yeah, and I am not saying any of that is false. The leaker should be punished to the full extent of the law. But that wont restrain me. This isnt someone's private photos, nor is this hurting national security. The reason people are excited to see these cards is because they think WotC has a good product and they want to see it. That isnt the worst problem a company could have.

Except it diminishes the excitement their customers have regarding intervening products, thus leading directly to reduced sales and a loss of revenue. Revenue that is necessary for WotC to continue producing said products.

    Source for this assertion?

Someone still hasn't answered this question yet: what is the main appeal of the Un-sets besides the lands and the nostalgia, and why should my friends and I buy any of this product?

Your friends and you shouldn't buy any of this product because you are not the intended audience.

Everyone is showing love for returns to Kamigawa and Lorwyn... me, I'm curious as to whats going on in New Phyrexia these days.

People are mentioning those planes because they have a low chance of a revisit and they're hoping that chance improved under the new system. There was never any chance we wouldn't see New Phyrexia again.

If that many ppl are invested in the stories, then they should look into bringing back the novels to make more $ and sell more packs

What are you talking about? The way their fiction is produced right now is where the interest is. The reason they stopped doing the novels was because there was zero interest there. Why would they change from a successful concept to one that already failed?
