I am looking for a link to the Card Art database? all of them I have found aren't working. Does anyone have the most up to date database? I am desperate to get all of these images working.
If the meta continues to shift towards combo and away from agro control I will add Keldon Marauders in instead of Skred. Also Ensnaring Bridge is my new favorite card against post decks as it stops there deck entirely in its tracks and that will buy you time to shrine them for an obscene amount.
because the 4 life is a huge liability and that Skred feeds the shrine.

And every deck you play against that doesn't have those, it's a dead draw.
How many decks do you play that aren't combo lack even a few creatures? It gives you the ability to destroy almost any creature at instant speed. If you are arguing that it is bad vs. combo then yes I do agree. For that matter searing blaze is garbage against combo but it is still played. Skred shines against zoo where you will have to have proactive answers. In my testing zoo and dark zoo have been very prevalent so that is why it is main.
Have been playing this online for sometime and was just wondering what your input would be. I really love the deck and it has really good match ups against 4 and 5 color control and any of the midrange decks. What else could I do to the main and sideboard? What ideas do you have?
Round 1 played against B/G Loam. He ended up mulling to 5 game one and I killed him on turn 4 like I always do. Game 2 he Cranial Extractions me for Mind's desire... only to find out I have both tendrils in my hand. I kill him next turn.
1-0
Round 2 G/W/R zoo. I won a close game one but he burned me out before I could have my turn 4. Game 2 I am able to echoing truth on turn 2 and 3 which is just enough disruption to win the game. Game 3 I am at very low life when he plays pyrostatic pillar on turn 2 but I go all in when he will kill me on my next turn and I end up 2 short. This allows him to kill me in 3 turns after.
1-1
Round 3 Affinity. Game one beat him before he could beat me. Game 2 he over commits to the board and I play a seething song powered shattering spree win 2 turns later.
Round 4 G/B Loam Discard. Game one was weird as I kept the hand because I saw him the previous round. I was able to protect against raven's crime and killed him turn 5. Game 2 I missed boarded not bringing in brain freeze and only bringing in echoing truth. Turn one thoughtseize and turn 2 extirpate on tendrils means that I will not be able to win in 4 turns. In the next few turns he gets Loam going and soon he has worm harvest so I save time and concede. I then fix my mistake between games. Game 3 I kill him on turn 5 by brainfreezing him twice.
3-1
Round 5 affinity. He thoughtseizes me on turn one and that is enough of an edge to beat me on turn 4.
Game 2 I went off the turn before he would kill me and missed any win condition. This is the match I am sure I made the most play mistakes like not getting a steamvents when I should have and when I played peer the depths I should have taken a seething song over a ponder.
3-2
Round 6 U/W tron. Game 1 I empty on turn 2 for 12 goblins and when in two turns. Game 2 he gets tron down quick is able to slaver lock me on turn 5. Game 2 I am able to bounce his signet on turn 2 and remand it on turn 3 and go off for the win on turn 4.
4-2
Round 7 Affinity. Game 1 I am able to just race him with the best play being on turn 2 electrolyzing a ravenger wich made him loose all tempo. Game 2 I play around his trickbind until I am able to have multiple storm spells and tons of mana and beat him on turn 9.
5-2
Sideboard
4 Banefire
3 Path to Exile
4 Scattershot Archer
4 Wall of Reverence
I went 5-0 at my local FNM with this build. I had 4 turn 5 wins which was awesome. My sideboard strategies were:
round 1 elves and all I did was take out PTE for Nameless and a Banefire. I won 2-0 with him never knowing what I was playing.
round 2 RDW take out Nameless and 3 Rafiq for Wall of Reverence and PTE. Won 2-0
round 3 Blightning same as last round. Won 2-0 on the back of him blightning me game one and having a leige in hand and next playing shield on it and swinging for 15 on turn 4.
round 4 Faeries take out Birds and Rafiq and bring in Banefire and Archer. Round went fine but I did loose a close game 2. Won 2-1
round 5 Boat Brew(Best deck in the format) take out 1 Rafiq, 1 Shield, and one Thoctar. This match was very and I mean very close. Game one I went first and was able to just get ahead quick enough before he could make Reveilark stupid. Game 2 he just curved out perfect and after I turn 6 he just took over control of the game and I could do little of nothing. Game 3 was a long drawn out affair with me winning with a sheild on a Leige after he played two PTE on other creatures and having two other war monks in play.
All and all I like this deck as a rogue option going into the up coming SCG events. What are your guys opinions questions, comments and concerns about this deck?
Still, we're talking about maindeck slots. And with a meta where everyone is packing board sweepers, it is very rare for Furystoke Giant to be very effective. Furystoke can be a sideboard for the match ups that allows you to have many tokens in play. But torrent is a better maindeck card in general.
As for Garruk, I don't think he has a place here. He clogs up the 4cc slots and isn't that good for the deck as Sarkhan Vol. It's also generally better to play Marsh Flitter over him since that gives you more tokens + more evasive power. The fact that you wouldn't have many tokens in play also makes the point about Overrun kinda moot.
I very much agree and that is why I am cutting them for cards that are more reliable against the field.
The disputed sideboard spot is due to your local meta. This is because if you face a lot of Kithkin or B/W Tokens you will want to run the outlander but if you are facing a lot of 5CC you will want to stick to the mage. This is not saying that one is better than the other those are just my ideas. Also I would like to point out that I am not running volcanic fallout because of my faith in this deck and its matchup against faeries. What are you thoughts and ideas guys?
