@Target Player - Yeah, I agree, this set is very underwhelming. Not even the art can save it for me.
Just a thought is WChoking Fumes an almost completion of the Choking cards set?
BChoking Sands, UChoking Tethers and GChoking Vines? All we need is a red Choking card to complete the set. All but the Choking Sands does with some sort of creature manipulation, or am i looking to deeply into this?
Shroud will only prevent other spells from targeting the crature. If a creature has an aura attached to it and then the creature has shroud, the aura will not be removed because it is not targeting the creature its enchanting.
Yes the Pit-Skulk would come in with it's +1/+1 counter. Ifect only modifys that damage. It still does one damage but instead of reducing a players life total it gives them a poison counter instead.
Yes, DEBT works at getting rid of enchantments already on a creature. If the creature is enchanted and then get protection from said enchantment it will fall off. If the creature has protection already the enchantment can not even target the crature.
702.14c A permanent or player with protection can’t be enchanted by Auras that have the stated quality. Such Auras attached to the permanent or player with protection will be put into their owners’ graveyards as a state-based action.
A creature with Shourd just can't be targeted, if an ability does not target it will work. Protection uses DEBT. Meaning that it can't be touched if its Damage, Enchantments/Equipment, Blocking, Targeting. You can work around Shroud not Protection.
702.14a Protection is a static ability, written “Protection from [quality].” This quality is usually a
color (as in “protection from black”) but can be any characteristic value. If the quality happens
to be a card name, it is treated as such only if the protection ability specifies that the quality is a
name. If the quality is a card type, subtype, or supertype, the ability applies to sources that are
permanents with that card type, subtype, or supertype and to any sources not on the battlefield
that are of that card type, subtype, or supertype.
No. His protection give him protection from anything touch him. The move in inself is illegal because Progenitus isn't a legal target for the enchanment due to his protection.
Unfortunetly no. Hand of the Praetors triggers when you cast the creature spells. Carrion Call is putting the creatures onto the battlefield not casting them.
Royal Assassin
Destroyed my young dreams, back in 1996. :/

If my opponet has a Grizzle Bear with a DarkSteel Axe and I diminish the Grizzle Bear, will the bear be 1/1 or still get the bonus for the Axe.
