I updated the original decklist based on suggestions i really like the feedback everyone has given me so far so let me know what you think of it now as it stands?
...literally
Anyway i'v been wanting to make a vampire deck for quite some time but never really got around to putting a deck together. Anyway this is what i have put together after bout 10 min of finding suitable cards, i'm pretty sure the curve is solid and there is sufficient mana accel to pump out the big guys. Anyway i need feedback and suggestions. This is a casual deck and within a low to medium budget range no cards greater then $8 in value. Also it is vampire theme so try to stick as closely as possible with suggestions(i know bats aren't really vampires but the two kind of go hand in hand).
Skeletal Vampire is also underwhelming. For six mana 3/3 flyer it's bleh.
Thats what i was thinking so i agree with you on that one.
Thanks Asylum this is what i have come up with based on your feedback. I'm not sure about the makeup of the deck though i'm not sure the numbers of each card are right what do you think?
sorry bout all the rule errors haven't played for a while and kind of rushed through the list. Thanks for all the feedback this is what i have got based of it. And also would door of destinies be worth slipping in there somewhere i think it could be pretty deadly
This is a deck which i was thinking of making becuase looks like it would be a fun/annoying deck to play/verse. Basically makes use of death touch and also regenerate. I'm looking for more cards that will make use of regenerate for example global removal and bone splinters, so like a disadvantage that isn't really disadvantage cos of regenerate. This is just a skeleton (sorry couldn't help the pun, please forgive me :P) of the deck i was thinking of help me finish it please and give feedback on what i have so far. Thanks
So how about that List?
Also I dont think this is good for that list, Muse is more of a controll card, while this deck is Zombie Suci...
No it is not, it is a draw card, allowing you to draw into more zombies to win.
Your list is good but like i said it lacks draw so i think you need to have some way to get more cards into your hand.
Its a 1 drop. Carrner feeder I sac zombies? why would i want to sac zombies???
you sac a festering goblin and you can give a creature -1/-1 this can be used to kill a weenie or used to help take down a fatty alongside something like nameless inversion or even when one of your zombies isn't quite big enough to deal with it. When you sac the festering goblin your feeder is getting bigger, and it doesn't really matter if your festering goblin goes to graveyard anyway you can just get him back and put him straight back into play and do the same again or choose not too.
Plus if you run four feeder you might as well put in 2 muses for card draw which is something your decklist is missing at the moment. Muse is often risky but if you have a feeder out with it then it is a very effective way to get card draw
mass removal is basically always going to hit you, but you are playing zombies losing zombies is not a problem they will all be back in a few turns anyway whereas your opponents might not be so lucky. Only have 2 slots for mass removal because you will not need it every game, also if you have a couple of damnation's in your deck every game you play with your mates they will be playing cautiously always waiting for a damnation, mass removal is definitely a good option for this deck.
The warhammer, jitte debate, well i'd say if you can afford to purchase the jitte's for this deck do it because that card is so diverse and will keep you alive for a long time if it sees play. The warhammer is significantly cheaper and slower, but if you put it on a fatty you will be getting some sweet life gain and doing some sweet damage, but really i think there are better options for that slot, throw in something else with life gain if you think it's that necessary, i just don't think you really need the warhammer in this deck, the jitte is in a completely different league to the warhammer and is easily the better and more expensive option.
Also another thing, i don't see why you have the sacromancy in there over carrion feeder, the 2/2 token can not be brought back from the graveyard whereas a carrion feeder can or any other 1drop zombie creature. Just seems like a wasted slot to me.
ok first thing i noticed, MANA! you need more then 12 swamps trust me you will want to have at least 22 land, that is what i have been playing with and im thinking of even going up to 23. I'd also consider dropping one uborg, i don't know if you have tested any of the decks yet but i found running three was too many, 2 did the trick, i mean they are legendary so you can't have more then one out.
I didn't realize that this was purely multiplayer so i apologize. But because this is a multiplayer deck, i say:
-4 unmake
+2 mass removal (infest, mutilate, or damnation)
I definitely think you should throw in the muses again and consider have some gemhides for cylce and uncounterable loss of life that can recur through bringing back to hand. I think if you do this you can get rid of the night's whisper s
If you choose to play muse play Carrion Feeder also. If you play feeder consider playin festering goblin playing in multiplayer when he is sent to graveyard there will normally be at least one creature you will be able to take down with this sucker.
I think you can afford to take out one of your jittes and run two of them, with your deck i think you would be able to make it to late game in most multiplayers (if you don't generate too much threat that is) so you will probably see most of your cards at some stage, and jitte isn't really needed to win for this deck, but if you do get one out, well there is a reason why that card dominated standard for a long time.
Overall i think the list is improving just get that mana sorted by culling some cards and i think you will be able to dominate that kitchen table. hope this helped.
hmm first thing i have to say is drop the warhammer's they are way too slow i don't see why you chose the warhammer over the jitte the jitte is far superior as it does not slow you down as much and it is a game winner if it sees play.
I'd also reccomend having 4 nameless inversions, it has such awesome synergy with grotto and lord and it is essentially your only removal i really think 4 is a must.
I also think you might want to put in some Duress' only costs one to play and you get to remove possible threats before they see play.
I prefer Consume Spirit to tendrils as it can do direct damage also but either one is effective, maybe drop one of these to make it 2 of to add 1 more nameless inversion, tendrils is pretty expensive and you would much rather have nameless inversion in your hand early game then the tendrils.
Looking at your creatures i'd say it is your deck is too slow and it might have some trouble early game. I'd reccomend some 1 drops like Carrion Feeder or Festering Goblin. Carrion feeder will be able to shut down your muse when you need to and at the same time buff the feeder, festering goblin also works well with the feeder acting as a weenie removal. both can become threats also when buffed by lords.
looking at your mana base id also say perhaps you should drop the coffers(are they really necessary) and add some more swamps seeing as how you have quite a few non swamps for a mono black deck which requires 2 swamps to play most spells and also requires lots of swamps to make corrupt, tendrils, and korlash efficient. you just don't want to get stuck with one swamp in play and the rest of the lands in your hand non swamps, it would completely screw you, this wouldn't happen every game obviously, but i could see it happening often enough that it would be a problem.
I think once you get that mana curve sorted it would play alot better. These are just the things i noticed when making and testing my zombie deck as shown below. hope this helps
