  • posted a message on Debate Forum alums: Where do you debate?
Well I just don't anymore. Around the time I stopped posting here was when I just quit debating and I don't miss it.

There once was a time I really enjoyed it, but eventually it became more of a drain on me where I would put a ton of effort into research, citations, writing and for what?

I was already echoing people with whom I agreed with and people I didn't agree with weren't usually going to be convinced anyway.

Plus my wife and I just had our first kid and I felt that what little free time I had for myself was better spent relaxing and playing games over spending hours writing a response to a debate.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed my time here and I learned a lot of things and even changed my views on a lot things - I just don't really have the desire to get into long winded debates anymore.

@Slarg - yeah that is unfortunately part of the experience with solo que. A lot of people follow the meta a little too blindly or hear that x talent sucks or something.

The Reality is that while there is a meta - strategy and skill amount to more than the meta does.

Aoharu x kikanju, charlotte, jitsu wa watashi wa are airing right now and I would recommend them.

I have a few others I would also recommend but I can't remember the names right now. So I will get back to you on that.

To the question of why I personally use japanese names of shows; I generally watch fan subs and so I get to know the show by it's japanese name rather than it's english name.

Pretty sure you're messing with me ecp :p

Still I loved this anime, probably the funniest anime I have seen in a long time. Basically all the characters go to the supermarket and wait for the "god of discounts" to put half price stickers on the bentos and then they have a huge battle royal for them.

And holy cow do they go at it.

Not sure why my phone lets me log onto my regular account and why my computer refuses to and logs me onto my curse vo account - but I will figure it out this weekend.

What I don't get about Anime fans. Why say "Shokugeki no Soma" Why not just say.. ya know.. Food Wars..

Yeah though, not a huge fan of "fan service". Never really adds anything to the show. Rosario + Vampire was so terrible, lol.

Well it was suggested to me by a friend and the way he described it, it sounded like it would be good. I made it through about 6 episodes hoping it would get better and it didn't.

This same friend also suggested kiss x sis, and I got through 10 minutes of episode one and just said "nope!"

That was probably the fastest time I ever stopped watching an anime.

To a certain extent it ruins it for me. I don't mind a little fan service every now and then but when it becomes a prominent feature of the show, I can't get into it.

For example rosario + vampire, I tried to get into it, but it seemed like every shot included a panty shot somewhere and the story/comedy/characters weren't really that good.

Jaina is my most played assassin, one of my most favorite character since I started playing. In hero league I have over a 70% win rate with her.

She is my ace. The great thing about jaina is there are several different ways to build her talents and she is highly adaptable in any composition.

Kerrigan, arathas, tyrande, are her best friends and lane partner/ roaming gankers.

Actually defending is the better option imo, but honestly it depends on your team comp and the enemy team comp.

For the most part though my team will time our middle mercs with the immortals when they spawn. We'll also have one or two people soak lanes (characters with good wave clear) while 3-4 players defend.

Once we get either a level advantage or a talent advantage we look for a fight. If we get a pick - we definitely go all in on attacking their immortal. We back off once they all respawn, heal up and re engage.

Characters that are great on that map: azmodan, zagara, murky, sylvanas, abathur, jaina, kael'thas, tychus, and falstad.

Azmodan/abathur can split push, zagara gives you vision, murky can split pus, annoy and secure kills, sylvanas can make you immortal push further, tychus has his laser, falstad is very mobile, jaina/kt are the two strongest assassins in the game - great burst, wave clear, strong pokes and utility not to mention fantastic burst damage.

Yeah, I have played it a few times on the ptr and a few games last night. So far it looks like abby, syl, gaz, and zagara are strong choices on the map.

Brightwing got nerfed pretty hard, the lost vikings got nerfed really hard - not sure they are even playable now. Overall I think that all the healers got nerfed. They got buffed in a few ways but overall, they got nerfed because of the loss of conjurer's pursuit.

The butcher is awesome, played with, as, and against him. He is good, but not op, just have to kite him - especially when he brands you and he falls pretty quick.

They aren't that bad, they just take some getting used to. They are really strong even after the nerfs.

I have been tearing it up as kerrigan lately. I have been a little obbsessed playing her and have become addicted to her play style. She might be my next masterskin I think.

I can respect good gazlowe players and on some maps he is amazing (sky temple, cursed hallow, dragon shire). He also fits into some team comps with excellent wombo combo potential. For example gaz with jaina, nova, really good together with their ultimates. Nazeebo also does really well with him.

TLV are awesome, very micro intensive and take some getting used to. They are like playing abby on crack - but if you get good with them they are just ridiculous. The trick is knowing when to split them for xp soak and when to keep them together.

To be clear I don't mind that bd abby is being nerfed. I don't like how they're going about it though. I feel there are better ways to do it and I feel like the way they are doing it does not actually stop it. People can for example cheese with abby/zag and abby can take UE and wreak face with that instead. Also I think abby can still bd behind turrets but I will have to test that out.

What they should do is make the keep area protected from mines until you kill a keep. That would take care of the cheese and abby's siege would still be good.
