Jun 15, 2010dantcg posted a message on Why Rob... Why?Pfffttt... you lads are sad? You're England!! You'll make it despite that draw... Us Aussies just got our BEST player Red carded for a tackle that shouldn't have even been a yellow in the inevitable defeat to Germany. Now the task of winning the next two games is nigh impossible with Cahill out and Kewell out of form. Did you guys by chance SEE that red card "offense"? Jesus.Posted in: ArsenalFan Blog

Hi Mr. I don't have MTGS..... -
Apr 22, 2009dantcg posted a message on Piloting EsperThe Angels deck was more of an Sigil of the Empty Throne/Shimmering Wings deck, comboing them together to get tons of different tokens each turn.Posted in: dantcg Blog
But I basically countered his Thrones and when ever he played a creature (usually with lifelink) I executioner capsuled it. -

Thanks.
My main problem is that Culling Dais has limited synergy with your other stuff. Why not just run another Cloudshift - it does the same perma exile with Fiend Hunter.
Looking back over your list I see Mimic Vat and I might give it a run - seems like it could have some cool synergies with Slime/Splicer/Angel.
Current working sideboard is:
2 Ray of Revelation
2 Naturalize
3 Ratchet Bomb
2 Timely Reinforcements
2 Mirran Crusader
Purge is because I'm terrified of zombies, but maybe could be lower because I have MB Oblivion Ring and Hunters.
Blinking Metamorph with Restoration Angel can just do truly ridiculous things. Your opponent is often very scared to attack into 4 mana.
As its exam period I haven't done extensive testing, but I've done a bit of it over the last few days. Delver seems a fairly good matchup. Thalia messes with them, we have plenty of good ways to kill Geist of St. Traft with first strike and Fiend Hunter on a flipped Delver is a good tempo play. Especially when some lists are dropping/lowering the amount of Leaks in their deck because of Cavern.
Naya Pod also felt fairly comfortable. We have so many ways to kill their Pods - and also a good amount of ways to deal with their creatures - and even steal them first.
Those are the two main decks that I've done more than one random game against - but its been showing quite a bit of promise.
Here's the list that I've got ATM.
5 Forest
3 Evolving Wilds
3 Gavony Township
4 Razorverge Thicket
4 Sunpetal Grove
4 Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
4 Blade Splicer
4 Fiend Hunter
4 Phyrexian Metamorph
4 Restoration Angel
4 Acidic Slime
4 Oblivion Ring
Phyrexian Metamorph is AMAZING in this. So versatile. Gavony Township wins games too.
Firstly, I think he's referring to the cool interaction of Sun Titan with reanimating Vexing Devils for a lot of damage. It may not be the most effective idea (although, who knows) but it's certainly fun/interesting. No need to be so douchey about it.
After you all get over how disturbing that was...
1 gram, you make good arguments and I'm definitely going to test Legionairre - I just can't help but think/hope that there's something even better out there.
@1000milligrams - You make great arguments, and I agree that Mayor has huge weaknesses - but I'm not convinced at all that Porcelain Legionaire is better and at this point I would rather Mayor. I'll test it though.
The main problem with Karn is that it doesn't really do any game winning. I like P-Titty because he can swing. And more lands is never bad in this deck, being able to drop a Frost Titan and Temporal Mastery in the same turn is always nice
New list, dropped Ponders - not sure if I'm happy about it.
2 Cavern of Souls
2 Ghost Quarter
4 Hinterland Harbor
10 Island
7 Forest
4 Primeval Titan
4 Solemn Simulacrum
4 Viridian Emissary
4 Rampant Growth
4 Devastating Tide
4 Temporal Mastery
2 SLOT
Cavern of Souls is in there to make my giants uncounterable, an idea a dude at my LGS gave me who's been working on a similar deck.
I'm not sure on what takes up that 2 slot. It could be a number of options.
1: Draw.... Blue Sun's Zenith or Think Twice
2: Removal.... Garruk, Relentless or Beast Within or Ratchet Bomb
3: Anti-Aggro.... Dungeon Geists or Frost Breath or Fog
While Snapcaster may seem counter productive at first it really is great in this deck. Being able to flip back Huntmaster on will like that is actually really useful and sometimes back-breaking. Flipping back Mayor can be annoying at times, but you usually only do that if Snappy is saving your backside - and even then, Mayor flips to pump Snappy.
A la Moonmist. A few months ago I piloted a similar deck with Moonmists to a Top 10 of a local tournament and Moonmist was my absolute MVP. No-one expected it and every combat phase I'd blow them out. But that list did not have Delver of Secrets because of the anti-synergy. I didn't mind that because Delver made the mana in the deck a pain in the ass anyway. But now our mana-base can support Delver in my opinion, Moonmist probably gets the cut. Although, I've been testing it in the sideboard vs. aggro. Side out Delver, side in Moonmist - it can be a fog and a combat blowout at the same time.
Dissipate. I really don't think its worth it. Let's take an aggresive stance - Dissipates double blue can be managed, but its a strain that I don't think pays off.
