Jun 15, 2010dantcg posted a message on Why Rob... Why?Pfffttt... you lads are sad? You're England!! You'll make it despite that draw... Us Aussies just got our BEST player Red carded for a tackle that shouldn't have even been a yellow in the inevitable defeat to Germany. Now the task of winning the next two games is nigh impossible with Cahill out and Kewell out of form. Did you guys by chance SEE that red card "offense"? Jesus.Posted in: ArsenalFan Blog

Hi Mr. I don't have MTGS..... -
Apr 22, 2009dantcg posted a message on Piloting EsperThe Angels deck was more of an Sigil of the Empty Throne/Shimmering Wings deck, comboing them together to get tons of different tokens each turn.Posted in: dantcg Blog
But I basically countered his Thrones and when ever he played a creature (usually with lifelink) I executioner capsuled it. -

I think that card would have to either tap 2 critters, or cost 1 less to be playable - but I could be wrong. I'm still very uncertain on the 2-5 slots I have open where Garruk and Arc Trail are.
2 Ghost Quarter
4 Alchemist's Refuge
11 Island
6 Forest
4 Primeval Titan
4 Frost Titan
4 Solemn Simulacrum
4 Sphere of the Suns
4 Ponder
4 Temporal Mastery
4 Devastating Wave
1 Blue Sun's Zenith
3 Corrosive Gale
2 Ratchet Bomb
2 Counterlash
4 Vapor Snag
4 Naturalize
The basic plan of the sideboard is as follows. Corrosive Gales and Ratchet Bomb are self explanatory, for tokens. Counterlash is against other ramp strategies. If you counter their Titan, then drop your own Titan for free is devastating - or if you counter a late rampant growth then take an extra turn that's value. Vapor Snag is in against aggro, its basically stall. It gives you extra turns to reach Devastating Tide, or hit your late game shenanigans.
My concern is obviously aggro decks though, blue and green don't have Slagstorms which is annoying, and getting to T5 for a Tide mightn't be easy unless you can set it up with Ponder on the top for T3 or something.
Maybe Phantasmal Image should go in somewhere in the 75, upon further thought.
Yeah, that's about what I was trying to say.
Aha mate, it should make you happy! What's your list looking like?
With the list before, I think 4 Dissipate is way too much because of the double blue. I think maybe it should try to take on a more aggresive approach. I've been playing UGr Counterwolves in standard atm, and its fun but it doesnt have the edge - in fact, the only reason I'm playing a more controlling style with more counters is because of the slow mana which doesn't let me get any sort of aggresive start - but I believe Cavern can help shift the deck.
EDIT:
Also, @1000milligrams, stop trolling. (At least with the above post)
The main reason I'm running Gal Blast is because its 1 cmc, not necessarily because it can be played T1. It takes care of Delver just fine, but yes, Incinerate could be considered.
The forest and mountain are mainly there for Ghost Quarter. I've definitely considered at least Lighthouse - but it doesn't seem crucial and colourless mana could be annoying.
I mainly call it humans because people underestimate, or don't realise, the key role that Mayor of Avabruck plays in this deck - boosting Delver, Huntmaster and even Snappy. The name doesn't really matter too much though.
4 Sulfur Falls
4 Hinterland Harbor
9 Island
1 Forest
1 Mountain
4 Mayor of Avabruck
4 Snapcaster Mage
4 Huntmaster of the Fells
4 Ponder
4 Mana Leak
4 Vapor Snag
4 Galvanic Blast
3 Arc Trail
4 Combust
3 Red Suns Zenith
4 Naturalize
I'm not certain as to what else from AVR should go in, to be honest, the Arc Trail and my be ever Garruk slots are filler atm.
I'm thinking that maybe I should just run Beast Within as my removal instead.
