    Hilarious article
Snooki is a cross between a goblin and another goblin. She is about three and a half feet of puffy-cheeked goblin. Her first night in the house, she stripped down to her underwear, hopped into the jacuzzi and played “Pass the Goblin” with every guy in the house.
Hahaha, i gotta see this show!

that hydra/wurm looking creature is probably gonna be an unplayable mythic.

the new harrow art being all over the booster box is unexpected.

got no idea wat that right booster pack image is all about...

I dont think anyone plays jund, jund plays itself. You as a "jund player" just sit there ROFLing as the deck plays 1-for-3s and 1-for-4s. It really isnt 'John Doe got first this fnm playing jund', its more like 'jund got first playing itself'.

WWK must introduce playable, flexible counterspells, ala Broken Ambitions, along side relevant merfolks. Playing speculated "above-the-curve" merfolks w/o reliable counter magic would still probably blow in the modern standard. All the quick aggro in T2 will rape the poor little fishies.

Am i asking for a lot? I'm not sure, I just want to play a viable merfolk deck in standard.

#1 - The only way you cast Identity Crisis out of the SB is with mana tricks since you only have 1 swamp in your 75. So you'll NEED to have a lotus cobra + landfall or path one of your own creatures while lotus cobra is in play.

#2 - Good luck finding Master of the Wild Hunt and that fourth Baneslayer. =P

Guess i will have to explain myself. I've been testing Identity Crisis only against jacerator, where they make me draw a bunch of cards. Lotus + landfall is not uncommon against jacerator.

The SB i posted is what i would run in a competitive meta packed w/ top tier decks. Against jund, i got 4 Great Sable Stags and 3 White Knights (i cut the 3rd Behemoth Sledge which would probably be insane against'em). The 3 Wall of Reverences are for boros and rdw. Not sure if Grizzled Leotau is better; it is an earlier wall but doesn't gain life, which is key against both decks. The rest of the cards are pretty self-explanatory

    RE#2: u got masters u would depart w/ ? Smile

Although I'm a huge fan of Sculler, I think that statement somewhat mis-represents the card. Again, it only exiles until he leaves play, which is immediate in this meta.
I am alright w/ my opponent killing tidehollow. My higher impact creatures don't have to worry about that kill-spell they just used up.

@teracker619: Hope to read your match-up post soon. I am really interested in how you did against jund and mill (if you faced them).

    here's my take on GWb

Tidehollow Sculler is such a great card. Looking at the opponents hand and exiling a card from it on a 2/2 body is a deal for 2 mana. Master of the Wild Hunt is another token producing 4 drop like Emeria Angel, but it mainly functions as a defensive card. If the ground isn't too cluttered, the 2/2 wolf tokens will gladly start swinging.
Ajani Goldmane would be a card i will like to include in the 75, but i just can't find room. I can see it really shine against aggro and the mirror, but horrible against jund, red, boros, and RB. If i were to start seeing more aggro decks, then goldmane would probably find a home in the sideboard. Master of the wild hunt + goldmane -1 ability would be deadly against aggro xP.

    What do you guys think?

Here are some current top tier decks and what they roughly cost.

    Jund- about $250
Boros Bushwhacker- $300+ w/ Elspeths and Baneslayers in the 75.
Nissa Aggro- $200ish? Eldrazi and Nissa Revane have had a crazy price spike. Not sure how much for a set of them; price keeps raising.

Any type of Mono-white deck, whether aggro or control, would probably run a full set of Baneslayers($40-50) and possibly a few Elspeths($25-30). That can give you a idea of how much it would cost.

There are some other competitive decks out there but I'll let some1 else talk about'em. The 3 i've listed are probably the most popular top decks. Hope this helps

Elf deck w/ Nissa going big....
and finally a successful incarnation of 5cc...
    wow...

I really wanna see the lists, especially MWC and 5cC

Red deck lame looks pretty damn good. Reminds me of Auto-Win red i saw last FNM.

That 5CC looks janky though. Just 4 counters; no mindbreak Trap?

One FNM so fare probably doesn't justly define local meta but....
what I saw friday was time seive, MW Control, 4CC, 5CC, naya zoo, jund ramp, jund aggro(?), GW soldiers (me, big mistake >.>), MW Soldiers, and 2 uber RDW. If I had 4 Arid Mesa and 4 Scalding Tarn, i would also be playing auto win red. The rest of the decks i dont remember, but no two decks were even remotely similar (even the red decks). Due to this diversity, I have trouble squeezing together an appropriate SB.

The card is insane. Especially in Bant aggro, since they are so susceptible to removal. You protect your swinging creature + pump it for just 2 mana. Now if you can only make it unblockable and double strike....hmm....

GSS was in my sideboard basically for more versatility. Its a beast against WU/esper control. Devout Lightcaster didn't make it in my 15, but its definitely better against vamps. I think once the meta establishes itself in the coming weeks, we can decide between the two.
I'll test w/ borderposts + KotWO later today. On paper, it seems like ideal synergy needed to get to mid/late game with mana easily available. I can see them causing a problem too though. Should we keep the tap lands? Ask me tomorrow Smile

I expect aggro being popular in my local meta so I'll play Veteran Swordsmith over KotWO for the first FNM, but 100% sure though.

The way I see it, we could play KOTWO turn two if we cast a G/W borderpost turn one. That way a turn four Conqueror's Pledge is not out of the question...
Back to testing w/ KotWO. Good thinking xP

Just played some games against Vampire aggro w/ SB. Just a quick note, Great Sable Stag rapes the vamps like no other. And to think I didn't believe GSS would make it into the SB.
