My former version of a wither deck had Midnight Banshee, and he can be good, but it takes so long to get him online...you've got to have good stuff already in play to really get much out of him, and by that point you've either got a good hold on the game or you're about to lose. I'd recommend against him in this deck even though with Kulrath Knight he'll lock down any non-black creatures.
Have you thought about Shriekmaw? With all the wither and -1/-1 counter options out there he's kind of fun to couple with Necroskitter.
I agree with you on focusing on one aspect vs another. You've got a good wither deck going...shore up that theme even more. Also, perhaps 1-2 forms of mass removal (ex. damnation) would help just in case your opponent goes wild on you and pinging won't slow them down enough.
Morrissey is actually a Canadian who tried to change his name from Reginald Moris to "Two-Sheds Jackson" Morriss, and the clerk made an understandable error.
DNC's favorite food is wire...long, sharp, razor wire which he usually prepares by sliding it down Archon Kamigawa's throat until it just barely reaches stomach acid. Then he yanks it out and immediately swallows the razor wire as is. Occassionally, he'll down a bottle of Jagermeister to "aid the digestion" as he likes to put it, and without fail he'll start playing Greenday albums and watch "The Birds" as he convinces himself he's full.
Thanks! I'll look into the suggestions you made. Definitely going to include 4 Path to Exile and maybe 1 StP. I really like the flanking knights because people hate throwing their dudes in front of flanking, and with your suggestions of coat of arms or door of destinies....nobody's going to be able to block without losing guys maybe even before damage is dealt! That's pretty sick...thanks again!
So this deck is obviously both casual and (IMO) in need of work. It was an idea I had a while ago and threw together cards that I had laying around (including Jihad!!!). If I'm playing against somebody running straight aggro it works fairly ok, but it lacks disruption and can't handle an opponent's disruption well at all. I like the fact that flanking makes people hesitate to throw creatures in the way to block, but then I usually get stomped during their attack phase. Not sure what else to include and I probably don't have it in hand, but SUGGESTIONS WELCOME!
Thanks!!! I'm definitely going to look into getting Sterling Grove. I had forgotten that Enlightened Tutor is restricted in Vintage, so something's got to take it's place.
Thanks a lot for the advice. I'll look into the Overlords (don't have any). I know what you're saying about "fewer creatures." I also like the use of mana leak and negate...I'll have to find some of those as well as 2 more Duress. You're right about the Vintage restricted list...has to be since it's running Oath. Anyway, thanks a lot! If anybody else wants to comment too I'm willing to listen
This deck worked pretty well....and then a friend traded me Progenitus, and now it generally stomps in duals. However, I would like to know if people can think of ways to speed it up (without having me go broke). It can usually win on turn 4 or 5 (definitely not before turn 4), but if I haven't won by turn 6 I'm probably dead or really hoping for a great top-deck. It's really susceptible to enchantment removal.....ideas to fix that? Definitely willing to consider suggestions though...which reminds me that there's a slot open since since I've only got 59 cards listed (had a filler in there).
isn't that kind of why Elvish Piper's got that problem/weakness.....of course it wouldn't be "broken" even if it had better intrinsic protection, but say it could come out and avoid something like Volcanic Fallout (pick your other removal :-)...it'd be kinda sick
patredwood could have won the first ever Magic Invitational, but he figured he'd let someone else get their face on a card since his would later be on this one.
Unfortunately, now that Selvaxri has no competition his "happy ending" is getting sloppy and the IRS is investigating him for tax fraud...apparently "happy endings" don't qualify for a $100,000 tax refund.
