Personally, I wans't expecting much from this set. Was waiting for it to spike my mtgo cards and sell all of them and just go play arena, the next new extended format they will obviously creautre for arena rotations.
But after the first day of spoils, Force changed all that, with just 1 card some of the decks I always wanted to play where suddenly viable. So now I'm hyped and can't wait for the set's release. All the other good MD or SB cards are just icing on the cake to me.
And yes, the reason a I didn't like modern anymore was the top decks, despise tron inevitability and ability to just destroy all my permanents with stone or lolugin, humans's disruption for a dumb aggro deck, and dredge.
Hahaha I love the guy from the youtube video who got the spoiler. Shame on you wizards, we spanish mtg players deserve more.
Typical american way of thinking anyways, they make most of the movies and think they are the center of the world. But all the world maps are centered on Spain, eat that haha.
Other than that, I can't comment much on the card since it's a pretty useless reprint. Wasting valuable reprint slots in this... the only thing I can say is that since I started playing in Odyssey, this card brings me memories.
Could someone tell me what are the narset probabilities of failing to draw anything? The minimum number of noncreatures nonlands spells in your deck for Narset to not fail most of the time.
I'm over counterspell not being there. I agree with the poster who said logic knot is almost like counterspell and you know what, IT SUCKS. Countering a spell for 2CMC is pretty bad nowadays. I'm not gonna run counterspell (duh) but also not gonna run logic knot.
I'm very grateful the star card from this set is FON, I think it's the card that will change the format quite a lot, since never before could you advance your board without opening your opponent to just outright win the game.
I'll be going jeskai tempo all the way, they say spell queller + new teferi is "pretty good" (meme sound).
Maybe there is no counterspell because they printed a new varian that's the same but also includes countering all the triggered on cast abilities the spell has. LOL.
Fateseal is just OK
Bounce a creature is sometimes really awful (etbs)
Brainstorm ain't the powerhouse it is in Legacy
Lack of free protection makes it hard to slam it on 4 (even new Force doesn't stop counters or removal on your turn)
Lack of actual Brainstorm and good top of deck manipulation makes Miracles a variance lottery.
I still jam him in my blue decks, but he often feels like the worst card I can cast most of the time, and is really only there as a win condition for grindy games because most win conditions are even worse.
I'm sorry but +2 is pretty broken, as is +0 brainstorm, doesn't matter the format as long as it has fetches.
There can be several reasons why JTMS doesn't shine in modern but the brokenness of his abilities can't be one.
The noninclusion of fire//ice was also a big bummer for me. It's a very good card for control vs tron, which needs a lot of help.

Not that I want the card, just that it feels like they included it.

I have no nails left -.-
