Wow, déjà vu, man. It's like, in the thread twice now, some of my other beef with LP. Fail. Looks like you saw Cyouni's post, at least
LP responded to me, what, am I supposed to ignore him? Am I supposed to just drop my vote & walk away? It's called applying pressure, it helps get a better read on a guy flailing on Day 1.
"A scum, no matter how confident, wouldn't just try to draw attention to themselves" - you're just wrong. Even just saying this means it would be a good meta play against you for someone scummy to get bold & brassy. 2x fail.
Lastly, poor play ≠ scummy play. You should be hunting scum, not voting people you think (I guess) are flailing townies.
Vote stands.
While I'm here;
These no-content bandwagon votes are terrible. Pony up kids.
Yeah, here it is.This is *just* as Seppel revealed his case against Nai. Seppel has his vote on Nai & I've just moved over. How is that a major wagon? You're just making ☺☺☺☺ up, aren't you?
True, I guess we shouldn't scum hunt until everyone is ready, then. Hate to splash cold water on everyone's happy times.Let's find out! vote:Lost_Profit
Most recently, in Asphodel Meadows, I bussed Jobie incredibly hard (essentially from the beginning of the game), which was a brand new scum move for me.
Beyond that, I've had situations where I've gone out of my way to derail a case against a buddy (in Camp Tachronic with Wuffles), times when I've participated in a fake mason claim with a buddy (Loran and me in Harry Potter), and I've completely ignored my buddies in numerous other situations.
Oh yeah, I have something to say about lost profit too. I don't think he is scum at all rather than noob town. There's basically no case against him and the innitial (horrible) mini-bandwagon was proven to be at least partly scum motivated.
Another quick question: How do you know that you aren't a Random Cop?
That's a good question, and I considered it for a bit too. The reasons I'm 99% sure that I'm not a random cop are:
1. Random cops are considered SUPER bastardy, and are INCREDIBLY rare. Even though this is a Bastard game, I don't think Annorax would put one in the game because they're just overall a dick move that just goes beyond bastardness.
2. I've gotten correct results both times I investigated somebody. Occam's razor/common sense dictates that its just more likely that I'm sane rather than being a random cop.
So yeah, one can believe that I'm a random cop and that the moon landing was staged, but I'll go with the much more likely answer.
I just wasted my time reading through ALL of Rianalnn's posts this game.
To sum up my findings, Rian has provided absolutley 0 content this whole entire game. Show me 1 case that Rian's made and I'll give you a cookie. Instead of providing content, he's just barned Seppel and voted.
I understand the sanities, but what reason would you have to say that you're Scum (is that required)?
I'll post my thoughts on Rian later today (but today for sure).
I would be saying that my investigation result on myself was scum, not that I was scum.
If i came up as scum, and I knew I was town since I can read my own role-pm, It would help me narrow down what type of cop I am. This is the reason I investigated myself.
It was more of a rhetorical question than a literal one.
If you investigated yourself, where is the proof other than your own word? I can't think of many people that would find out they're Scum and actually say it. It only makes that no matter you're alignment you would say that you're Town.
You're forgetting that There are multiple sanities of cops. If you don't know about them please look 'em up on the Mafia Wiki.
If i came up as scum I would say so, because that would mean that if I'm a cop that I'm either insane or paranoid.
Also, please provide your thoughts on the Rian case plox.
I'm fairly confident that you're Town, but did you investigate yourself?
I can understand that in a big skim its possible to miss some things, but please go back and check my posts if you're wondering things like this, rather than having me answer things that i've already said.
Yes, I investigated myself and I got a "Town" result.
@AI please answer the question stated earlier about how much interaction you usually have with your buddies.
After re-reading Rianalnn and Seppel's jumping on Khorney for khorney pulling off a gambit badly I that I didn't do something about that. They both went all out on Khorney, an inexperienced player, when all he did was pull of a gambit badly, and then they tried to make it seem as though a gambit makes him scum...
Did he post in the thread that he was a cult lead before or after he told you he tried to cop seppel and failed?
After. He said that he investigated seppel and came up as scum. Later in the day he said he's actually a cult leader.
Just wondering, why is this important? We already know seppel is scum (and we lynched him) and we already are 99% sure I'm town, you know with the whole being a sane cop thing.
Where is everyone? This day is moving really slowly right now.
Quit it with the absolutes, man. Yes, Seppel & I agreed on a number of issues. NOT everything. Are you deliberately ignoring my suspicion of him *today*? Why would I need to re-read dude if I thought he was town? I wouldn't. I wanted to get a better view of how Scum Seppel posts so I could get a fix on him, specifically since he so readily bussed his team in CCMIV (which he says was because he forgot who was who) & if that was a normal play for him, because his play felt town but the information on him was hard to ignore.
What you're doing is cherry-picking soundbytes & using hyperbole to make me look as bad as possible.He. It's not like I was mindlessly pressuring you; you were all over the shop & I was chasing that. This may interest you: pressuring people is how you dig out scum. Your read on khorney made no sense.
@Dagger – I dunno. I felt like we kept having disconnect Day 1 (maybe Day 2 as well?) & were having semantic arguments, which is something I get into with other townies, but then today it's like we've been on the same page. . . & I am super-leery of that at the moment since it's pretty clear that Seppel was all buttery to my toast, & I may just be terrible at finding actual scum when there are a lot of loose townies around, making an easy place for scum to barn from.
That said, his play has been hunting townie. I'm not familiar enough with him to know if he can fake that or what. I've had my hands full so it's hard to do serious long-view analysis, kind of stuck in top-of-my-head mode right now.
It would go a long way to clearing you if you showed some posts today that expressed your unsureness on Seppel's alignment. Thanks
I have *not* said Seppel was town all game, & if you stop looking selectively, you can find plenty of posts where it is clear I am cautious.
You're right, and paired with how many times you supported his actions/attacked his attackers its strange that you never said you thought Seppel was town. Its even more scummy to support somebody on everything then say "I was cautious about him" IMO.
Why didn't you explain this?
Also, maybe unrelated: Are you a big fan of the random voting stage?
Why do you think this?
Lets see if Rian can follow his own rules...
1 bad vote (no reason at all)
2 bad votes (vote over a word discrepancy)
3 bad votes ("no content bandwagon vote" to be exact)
4 bad votes (no reason at all)
5 bad votes ("no content bandwagon vote" to be exact)
6 bad votes (no reason at all)
7 bad votes (votes over a post that seems, at a glance, to conflict with itself)
8 bad votes (no reason at all)
Speaking of about bad voting ...
Can you please make a scum/town list?
