Interesting take on battles. You'd think that Wizards would want people to play their splashy new mechanic and release cards that are more pushed, but maybe they're just being careful at the beginning.
I just don't agree with the evaluation, tbh. Battles seem super pushed, they were clearly a major player in retail Limited during Early Access, and were also doing work in Constructed yesterday, as well. Numerous ones were seeing a lot of play. Time will tell, obviously, but I've already ordered a ton of them for my Cubes.
I'm pretty sure it's 5G instead of 5GG. Looking at Ravnica at War, for example, we can see that 'mtgstory.com' line ends right near the corner of the frame, which definitely doesn't allow space for another mana symbol.
Nope. This is missing the rarity symbol, so unless there's a gigantic empty spot on the mana line for some reason, it is 5GG.
But this is act 3, we don't know if there is act4, so it could very well be end of the battle on the ground when they defeat the army and take down the statue but bolas is still up in his citadel. So this card is boosting the ravnica armies morale.
Ugin feels a bit weird if he's one of the Rares. You'd think he would be a Mythic. I'm not saying these are fake(especially since they have pretty much correct templating) but just seems weird.
MaRo has confirmed he's a rare. The only Mythic walkers are confirmed as Bolas, Lili, Gideon, and technically Tezz.
The oddities are definitely the Azorius walkers and the overall lack of black Planeswalkers at Rare. I honestly think Hat Lady will be a black Planeswalker.
Well you have to cut me some slack here, because Gideon's first ability did read like a large textbox and not like 2 slots. I mean I can see the 2 slots now that you pointed that out, but that is not entirely obvious.
Also where did Maro confirm that? On PAX or in his block? I mean I am seriously surprised that he comments on leaks.

Well, this isn't really a spoiler. This is a leak. Wizards will not be happy about this.
Also I assume Gideon Blackblade is rare. Since he follows the pattern of a rare walker. One static and two activated abilities. The mythic symbol is the Mythic Edition Symbol so I guess we also get one for War of the Spark.
So Ugin still has a chance to be in the mythic slot and we have 2 extra colored walker.
Again, MaRo confirms he's a mythic, and he has four slots, which is what the "pattern" is confirmed to be, not three activated abilities.
The real mystery is how long until someone else comes along and suggests Gideon is actually a rare again.
edit: @phosphorus, I doubt Giden is mythic based on the system they appear to have, which is all the mythic walkers have static ability plus 3 loyalty abilities, and the rares have static ability plus 2 loyalty abilities.
Also I would be surprised if Ugin wasn't also a mythic.

If this is real (I’m it is since it includes cards that have been confirmed such as Ajani, Jace, and Liliana and flavor wise Nicol Bolas makes sense given he’s out to steal sparks and his static ability shows that) then we have already seen:
All 4 Mythic Rare walkers
9/13 Rare walkers
That means we’d only have 4 more Rare walkers and the rest as Uncommon. I’m guessing the Rare and Mythics play a bigger role storywise than the Uncommon walkers (which doesn’t make sense considering although I do see Ral having a bigger role in story with Niv Mizzet I cant see Sorin or Dormi having a big role unless they make a big move with guilds). With this logic my guess is Ugin, Jaya, Dovin, and maybe the new shield mage as the last rares.
That said if no one puts it together this week I can see about getting a number crunch up when I get time. It’ll be an interesting spoiler season to say the least!
Dovin is almost assuredly the U/W hybrid Uncommon, given that we have Teferi at Rare. Jaya also makes sense as an Uncommon because of Chandra.
If there are 4 mythic walker and Karn is rare I would actually guess that Ugin is uncommon.

MaRo confirmed the Uncommons are two of each mono color, plus 1 of each two color hybrid mana pair.
Well, if all walkers in the set use the stained glass arts, shouldn't the mythic edition Gideon have another artwork?
Also I would have expected Domri to be uncommon, like the other guild-leading walkers that were spoiled so far...

2.) We have no pattern established on the guild leader walkers. We've seen four uncommons officially spoiled: Vraska, Obby, Arlinn, and Tibalt.
3.) These have a bunch of pros in their favor, like the fact that they have Gideon as a 4 slot walker before MaRo confirmed him as a mythic, and also that they have the non-stained glass arts.
