I think we can say with some certainty that the Spell of Dominion is actually Damnation; the art (on Planar Chaos) and effect fit perfectly the description of the Onakke's doom, and it's even been used to represent it in Veil of Deceit. Also, if it's been passed on to the Guild Lords by planeswalker demon Arzakon, it's safe to say it draws on black mana, as it indeed does. And if the Onakke were the guardians of the veil - that infused with Lim-Dûl's soul kept the barrier up - it makes a lot of sense that their annihilation, the freeing of Lim-Dûl, and the meteor shower / fall of the barrier are really all connected.
I'd love to see Lim-Dûl as a new "big bad", but I'd rather see him as not one of Bolas's pawns, but as a new contender. There's a lot of room to explore there. Really excited to be going back to Dominaria!
Exactly.
That's best-case scenario, though. Most games will run with the player skimming through the library first, usually with Brainstorm or Sensei's.
Ideal scenario is: Dark Ritual + Doomsday for 3 Alignments (4th is removed) and Predict on top. Following turn, Predict + LED in response, and you get every Alignment you need in it's place. If you have an Alignment or more on your opening hand, you may use FOW, LED, Relic or even a Brainstorm before Doomsday to get it where you need it.

Not sure if it's competitive enough, but it's fun. I think it works a little better than with Intuition.
Also, there is an old thread about it and Words of Worship (link here) in which no actual consensus is reached as to their interaction. I'd like to get an opinion about that as well, since I'm working on a Karlov of the Ghost Council commander, and number of triggers matter.
Thanks to all in advance!
A nice variation to this one (geez, these are so much fun):
Crypt Rats + Inviolability + Death Pits of Rath.
Laboratory Maniac + Demonic Consultation (once again, name a card that isn't in your library).
Puca's Mischief + Thought Lash, Colfenor's Plans, or Illusions of Grandeur.
I know BAMb00zl3r already put this one up, but I'd like to add possibilities to it.
Enduring Renewal can be paired with any 0 cost creatures (Ornithopter, Shield Sphere, Memnite, Phyrexian Walker and some Kobolds) and:
for mill: Grinding Station; Altar of dementia as well, if with Memnite.
for damage: Blasting Station or Goblin Bombardment.
for mana: Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar.
for power: Mortician Beetle, Bloodthrone Vampire, Fallen Angel or any such inflator.
For this one, the Guildmage sais "Copy target sorcery spell you control"; if the spell resolves, it is put into the graveyard and you don't control it anymore. Therefore, the combo works, you just have to pay the 2R with some other mana source, before the pumped up Lava Spike resolves.

:5mana::symb::symu:, , Discard your hand: Search your library for seven cards, put them in your hand, then shuffle your library. After this turn, you gain an extra turn. Skip your next untap step, upkeep step, draw step and combat phase. In that turn, you may play spells and abilities without paying their mana cost.
What the hell is this?!?!
Seed the Spy - 3U
Sorcery
Put a creature card from your hand in play under the control of an opponent.
(p.s.: try that with Leveler or something like it...)
Creature - Human Monk
When Grave Guardian comes into play, chose an opponent. That oponent may play a spell in his or her hand without paying it's mana cost.
You have threshold.

Haha! he should have said he was declairing that his opponent's creatures were also getting fear, but didn't pay for it on X. "all legal targets", uh?
The guy deserved it. And I say that because I'm not a fan for mind play.
Sure! in US
Look at the flags and blame protectionism. I pay overtax
also, lesser offer, higher price. There's deffinitly more people playing Magic in US than in Brazil.
I don't have a budget exactly speaking, I'll just look at the options and consider what sounds like fun and is worth the while... the problem is not struggling to get them, is that I may have something better to do with that cash. I'll make it quite simple. Hipnotic Specter goes at R$ 20,00, and Duress at R$ 8,00. I can have lunch for R$ 8,00. I can have great lunch for R$ 20,00. Or I can get the R$ 60,00 and go to the china guy smug store downtown and buy that MP4 I've been missing. Or maybe it's just better to buy a pair of another R$ 30,00 card I'm still unaware of. That's how my "budget" goes.
Magic is only a hobby for me. A quite obsessive hobby, but a hobby nevertheless. I try keeping my head in place until my bank account has more than 4 digits in it.
oh, yeah... and I'm unemployed.
uh, didn't knew that. lucky me.
Yeah, this deck once had a blue control splash and heavier stuff, benefiting from counters and bouncing with 2x Phyrexian Negator and other creatures, and I was planning to invest on nyxathids and stuff. But it slowly showed up that blue was delaying the deck, so I tried to turn it mono.
Though, while testing, I noticed splashing green improves the possibilities of an earlier final blow, such as building any critter up to 8 with a Stregth and a Growth, swinging and then Riting it on turn 3.
What kind of "black damage" you mean?
Shoot! Black Vise IS banned indeed, me so used to the Vintage list. sorry for that, I'll make a fix.
Well, the deck as I built it is budget, but not what it can become. That is stated a couple of times just so anyone won't be all over me "you need more and better duals, you need this and that, the same old stuff everyone needs", as if I didn't know that.
Indeed, Rotting Giant works, as well as Wretched Anurid... never noticed those. But Rotting Giant may have to attack enchanted on the 2d turn, before any spell hits the grave, making him a rather unsafe pick.
I'll go -1 black vise (obviously), -2 Belbe's Percher, -1 Nath and +4 Wretched Anurid. Here's the new list.
4x Fledgling Djinn
4x Skittering Skirge
4x Wretched Anurid
1x Hipnotic Specter
1x Hollow Specter
1x Mirri the Cursed
Spells (21)
4x Grave Servitude
4x Unholy Strength
4x Giant Growth
4x Dark Ritual
4x Rite of Consumption
2x Fertile Ground
2x Commune With Nature
1x Ankh of Mishra
4x Tainted Wood
2x Peat Bog
10x Swamp
4x Forest
4x Terror
1x Decomposition
4x Gloomwidow's Feast
1x Tsunami
4x Unearth
1x Virtue's Ruin
I really do like Hymn to Tourach, even though they're not as cheap in places Magic has been released after a few blocks... Fallen Empires has never been translated to portuguese, you see. However, Duress is still more expensive. Guess I'd run a couple of Hymns, but I don't know what to take off without damaging the speed and consistency of the deck... nothing besides the Ankh. Also Fertile Grounds are questionable, but to a certain point though...
How do you guys feel about Raven's Crime instead?
Anyone got any ideas on the sideboard? That's probably the bigger question here...

Ok. This is sort of a budget deck I'm building up, for most of the cards in it I already had. Please keep in mind this is the real list, not the ideal one.
The idea here is to play one creature fast, boost it up and hit your oponent for a maybe 3d (with rite of consumption), more usually 4th-turn kill. All creatures are black and terror-proof, but that doesn't make them indestructible, sadly. The deck is quite sensible to countering, and I need help building a blue/flying-hate sideboard.
I presume you already know Belbe's Percher shouldn't be there, but I ain't buying +3 Hipnotic Specters as I would like to right now, and I need anything at or under 3 mana that goes 2/2 flying or unblockable in any way (that's why Fledging Djinn). I would change Hollow Specter for that 3d Hipnotic. Once again, this ain't the ideal list, but the real one.
Two Commune With Nature are there in case enemy manages to kill my critter, and they work. Mirri compensates her higher cost by first-striking and hasting, plus power 3 builds to 7+ here in no time, swingin to a 3-turn kill. Honestly, Nath is only there because I already got it and I like playing it - any suggestions for exchange, please say.
I don't know weather I should go The Rack instead of Ankh; Black Vise works here mostly for first-turn shots. As for the manabase, Tainted Wood is cheap, comes into play untapped, and I just won't be missing a swamp here.
onto the sideboard, I shan't do anything with two green mana simbols in it, wich sucks some of my best options. Unearth works well as 12 out of 14 creatures (maybe 13 out of 14, if Nath comes out?) are converted 3 or less, and the main points of concern are low toughtness and countering. I find Gloomwidow's Feast mana cost a little bit expensive, but I don't know anything better than that...
