Apr 7, 2012Lasersharp posted a message on A rant about spellmorph@Macius: That's almost the point I'm trying to get at with this. The thing is that with this keyword, we need to add a whole new section to the rules about what happens if an instant or sorcery card ends up on the battlefield for whatever reason, and for some reason people aren't comfortable with that much rules modification like that.Posted in: Repository of Creative stuff

"Oh my... but wait a moment... so most people who are down here were actually demoted from other positions by force? I simply came because I thought it was safer down here. At least that's what it sounded like when Lord Grey suggested it."
And... yes, that could very well be a Celestial Spiral there.
(As for the gymnastics type of Celestial Spiral... well, it would definitely require pixie dust for Aurora, but maybe she could practice doing these if there's a cure. And a safe space to practice.)
-Lord Grey's blood siphon causes an unusual reaction in Aurora's blood, since her "light blood cells" concentrate at the area of the bite to cure the attacker, but this doesn't work because there is no skin contact in this case. This makes her more vulnerable to other things because of uneven distribution.
-Hugging an ice sculpture -> very cold. Doing this when her blood isn't distributed properly would probably cause her to become weak.
-Finally, she put on a little display of gymnastics at the end of that, using probably a bit too much pixie dust and also probably getting dizzy from doing too many rotations in the air, and considering that she had to exert herself even more due to everything above, causing her to become ill.
With everything in mind, Aurora can't risk going into places where she needs pixie dust to fight for her life in case things like these happen again. (The card idea above went to the extreme and had her develop some sort of an intolerance to pixie dust, hence losing health when you cast spells, but that would probably be too severe and then she probably wouldn't even be able to make cakes without suffering.)
Meanwhile, the crafting Aurora is still safe and sound, and working on this monstrosity of a thing...
I posted this design a while back, although I don't know if it was noticed because it was something I edited in later.
...Should Aurora suffer that kind of fate, or should I tone things down a notch? (Due to the way she's been acting in the RP world, I'm okay with letting this happen to her. The crafting Aurora won't suffer anything like that.)
...Wait, this is getting confusing... I'll have to think about this more. I do have a storyline reason planned to explain why Aurora had to stop going on the adventures, but then that doesn't really explain how Aurora still has all the time to be making all the music and quizzes she makes in the "real" world here.
...Or there's the less satisfying idea that there are probably just two separate Auroras, though of course that would cause weird stuff if their universes crossed (like this), as the cake-making Aurora probably is making cakes (in the fictional world), while the crafting Aurora is just writing music and making quizzes (in the real world). Which means that Lamont probably won't find the Aurora he's looking for in this world. (And of course Aurora doesn't like the name-calling either.)
...Yeah, this is getting confusing.
Clogged-Chimney Imp 4B
Creature - Imp
Flying
Clogged-Chimney Imp doesn't untap during your untap step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may pay 3. If you do, untap Clogged-Chimney Imp.
When Clogged-Chimney Imp dies, target opponent puts a card from his or hand on top of his or her library. Then that player may draw a card.

Revenge of the Liars!
And a music quiz too - here it is!
Nibbler is of course the actual correct answer to the question. I asked three users on Sporcle to give me fake answers that might fool other people, and all three of them came up with the same answer - which means I created two of my own fake answers to fool others (since that's what actually happens in Fibbage - if there are duplicates, the game makes its own fake answers to fill in the gaps).
Anyways, here's one of the questions I posed for my next Fibbage game on Sporcle. What fake answer would you create for this?
"Before 'Snake' came to cell phones... what was the title of the 1982 arcade game in which one had to navigate a snake through mazes to collect food?"
As for the Demon... yeah, decisions are hard. Though the worst outcome for the player casting the Demon is if one person "volunteers" as the sacrifice to not take it and everyone else does take it, resulting in several of your opponents drawing cards and you not getting extra cards.
EDIT: Wait, I'm not sure why I thought of that... I don't think anyone would want to volunteer for that in a free-for-all game because it puts them behind by a lot. But if you're playing Archenemy and you cast this (as the Archenemy), then that's probably what would happen.

"Does anyone know of the consequences of breaking the fifth wall? I don't think I'd want to try it myself, as breaching the fourth wall already had dire consequences for me."
Meanwhile, as far as crafting goes, I'm working on the I-less clip quiz, and also another Fibbage game (waiting for other Sporclers to send in their fake answers).
And now for another random question that someone's not sure about the answer:
"Hm... is there a fifth wall?"
@Stardust: Yep, it's the Demon's Dilemma... I have a feeling this is probably just gonna be a 5/4 flying for 3BB in 1v1 games as I don't think your opponent would want to draw two cards for such a price, but how would it do in large multiplayer games?
I wasn't really familiar with TJ Maxx and I had to look it up... I don't remember seeing one of those around here. Winners and Marshall's exist here, but I don't know of an "actual" TJ Maxx store around here.
Anyways... this is unrelated to the whole Thopter thing we have going on, but I thought of a card idea that's designed for multiplayer... what do you think?
Demon of Cruel Decisions 3BB
Creature - Demon [Mythic rare]
Flying
When Demon of Cruel Decisions enters the battlefield, each opponent secretly chooses 'take the money' or 'do nothing'. Then each opponent reveals his or her choice. Each opponent who chose 'take the money' draws two cards. If an opponent did, each opponent who chose 'do nothing' loses 3 life. If all opponents chose 'take the money', each opponent loses 6 life and you draw five cards.
