Well... now there will actually be a Zombie Cat token that can go into the Horde. Wink

Thread title change - I guess go with Lord Grey's suggestion above.

But... cookies? Should we expect to find cookies in Amonkhet then?

Also, what does everyone here think of the style of the Masterpieces? The main thing for me is the fact that they don't really look like Magic cards as the fonts are totally different everywhere. The all-caps text is also kinda overbearing... I think it looks cool on the one-liner effects, but kinda tacky otherwise.

This is a Rick Roll, don't click it.

Well, we'll see when the list of cards gets spoiled sometime tomorrow, but:

[The Crafters] will Invoke things much (better/worse?) than ____!

Yay, this thread has 1000 posts! Smile

And... hm, embalm seems interesting... for the fact that every embalm card has an actual token card for its mummified form. I wonder if the Horde deck can do some interesting stuff with them? They are zombies, after all.

I passed a Cyclonic Rift because I'm not good at Magic (during the draft I mentioned in my previous post... yeah, there were two of them in the draft... but then again, I think it was a Wing Splicer that I took over the second Cyclonic Rift, and the Wing Splicer is a card that contributed significantly to my wins). Somehow I still had enough other good stuff to still do stuff (an Extractor Demon somehow made its way to me from halfway across the table during the second booster, even past another player who was playing black).

Yes, that does put you a lot closer to "being Aurora" than most others here (though of course this test becomes kinda pointless if I only consider this and nothing else... maybe I should still ask who else is closest to being Aurora if we disregard the whole crossdressing requirement). One other notable personality trait that could be important is that she likes to hug people (there are apparently people who don't like doing that).

For this hypothetical, since it's just for fun, technically someone else could take over if they were willing to do the crossdressing thing (although if I were actually looking for someone then I'd prefer not to have to do it that way, because of the whole Stained Glass thing and all that).

As for hair color... yeah, that is another difficult thing here.

Although out of everyone here, you might be the closest to fulfilling all the requirements (I think)...

Several people have asked me why I don't play the role myself. My usual answer to that is "Because I don't crossdress".

Quiz making, a bit of Super Mario Maker level making, practicing on the Bach Prelude and Fugue (A major, book 1, BWV 864). Watching too many live streams (mostly also SMM, and sometimes Jackbox games too). That's what I've been doing. Wink

Also, played some MM3 on the weekend (but with a friend's box so we didn't keep our cards). We didn't have too much time to finish a full three matches, but I did well with a WUB deck that everyone seemed to be scared of (people kept passing some removal spells to me, so I had a few Agony Warp and Grisly Spectacle, and usually I also used Wing Splicer and Momentary Blink to good effect).

Of course I don't actually expect anyone here to be Aurora, this is just a hypothetical scenario to see who would be the best fit for Aurora if someone had to fulfill that role. Ideally, Aurora would be a singer who can do some jumps like a gymnast, although in practice I might have to split the role into two parts (a singer and a stunt double who can do the jumps, as it's surprisingly hard for one person to do both).

@PegasusBishop: But then Kydele + Kruphix becomes rather problematic, I think... Wink

Also @TheLovelyLamia, would you prefer PegasusBishop to continue taking the role of "being Aurora"? If so, why?

For colors? Shards do seem possible (with Bolas there and all that), but there's also a possibility that it's just more like Dragons of Tarkir in that while the factions are ally-colored, there were only a small handful of multicolored cards. Or there's also the GW vs. UBR idea (as in that's how the factions are, but still not a high number of gold cards, maybe Bolas could be the only three-colored card.

And I have a feeling TheLovelyLamia would be a better fit for being Aurora in this case... I think.

Hm... does PegasusBishop still want to "be Aurora", or will PegasusBishop prefer to pass this requirement on to TheLovelyLamia (as she said she can jump too)?

Ah, so it's been a while... this concept art might refresh your memory a bit. I write songs from Aurora's perspective, and long story short, it's been a running joke that I'd need a stunt double to complete the physical actions (such as the star jump in that image). If you can jump, you're doing much better than most people around here (I think... at least that might be the case with [The Crafters], because a lot of them don't want to jump; not sure if that's the case here or not).

@PegasusBishop: Maybe combine Silas Renn, Seeker Adept with another commander to make your BGU artifact deck?

It's a running joke from a while back... I don't really expect PegasusBishop to actually "be" Aurora (which, as mentioned earlier, has some very demanding physical requirements, including but not limited to the ability to jump... which is an ability PegasusBishop mentioned having).

Alright, off to a good start... keep practicing and maybe you'll reach Aurora's level soon. Wink
