Decks that can use Squee really don't need it. Same idea with how I cut Purphoros: he needs tokens, but tokens doesn't need him. Squee needs discard outlets like Survival of the Fittest, but Survival doesn't need Squee at all.

I don't agree with this. Porforus is still busted for us. Tokens are great, but Purphoris is the best card in a token deck. And Squee is still broken with Survival, Fauna Shaman and random stuff like Skullclamp.

I do think it depends on how you draft and how big your cube is. The smaller your cube is the better and the more cards you see more during the draft the better. In a 720 Cube Squee might just end up being a recurrable 1/1 for 2R, which is very crappy. In our cube (8 player Rochester) he is always part of some broken combo (or ends up in a sideboard). We don't see it as a red card, but as a 0CC colourless card.

Might be a surprise to a lot of people, but it often ended up being a 3/3 or a 4/4. The dream scenario of playing it as a late game finisher happens a lot less. But the aggresive 3/3 or 4/4 play might be slightlt sub par on paper, but in practice it feels ok. Mind you, not super duper great, but decent.

It might be a slightly bit better in powered but not much. Because realistically you will only get the perfect artifact.dec once in a while.

Thsi card has seen quite a bit of play in our cube. It is quite versatile and all its abilities are relevant at times. Being an X costed artifact has its disadvantages, but decks that want to Tinker or do graveyard shenenigans have other creatures to pick up.

Not a must play, but a very decent performer if you just put it in decks.

I am a bit unsure about your calculations about Krenko. The fact that the tokens do not attack right away is a big disadvantage. Especially as Rabblemaster (and Krenko will end up eating removal pretty quickly in a lot of games. Calculating the goldfish damage value over six turns is a metric, but it is not the most realistic metric I think.

To me Krenko's big advantage i the fact that he has synergies with a lot of power boosting cards. But does that offset the fact that he is quite a bit slower in most games ( where you never get 4 , 5 or 6 hits with him and his buddies.

A couple of months in this card is still going strong and getting praised every draft. We cannot imagine this card leaving our cube for years to come.

    So....

    1. Deranged Hermit
    2. Acidic Slime
    3. Thragtusk
    4. This thing

    Sound about right?

I would still put Wolfir on 4. But that might depend on the cube. Wolfir tends to hit incredibly hard in green aggresive midrange builds. Add in some double strike or flying or hasters for double the fun.
The two cards are hard to compare though as they play quite differently.

If anything it is more playable in unpowered. I don't see what Moxen and Lotus make of a difference for a card like this?

I would first try to make room for Purphoros, God of the Forge. I thought he was pretty cool when he was released, but eventually put him on the bench because I didn't have enough support. I think nowadays he can represent tremendous damage, is really flexible, and doesn't mind if your dudes die along the way. Burn at the Stake is a little too restrictive IMO.

Purphoros has been a huge succes in our cube. One of the top red picks.

What propably helps a bit is that we draft Rochester, which means that our decks are a bit more streamlined compared to normal booster drafted cube decks.
