Archon Kamigawa thinks Zebi is a power role, by asking specifically why this is, Chubbz is trying to out some information that can only benefit the scum. scum want information like this to line up their night actions better.

    Ah, i see.

it was supposed to say i was hypocritical in posting for teknolink for the same reasons i've been FOSed and voted, and yes. if everyone thinks it's scummy of me, it should be scummy of him too

I don't think this is must necessarily be always the case, but it is true why more were suspicious of you than Teknolink, if both were of the same reasons. maybe it was because you wanted death right away, while he just wanted pressure.

    Quote from MandersHex »
Isn't that precisely the reasoning behind sharing your opinions on certain players? To compare opinions and decide the best course of action as a team to destroy the scum? I understand not everyone will agree with whoever you have deemed mafia, but if you feel that strongly and can convince others of your belief, then you have done your job. Granted, there will be times when you will choose incorrectly, and if that happens, you will likely be seen as scum, but those are sacrifices for the good of the whole team, and can ultimately result in a real scumkill. If I'm wrong on any of this, please let me know. I'm here to play and learn.

You're right in your first several statements, but i believe that if you convince others of your beliefs of another's scumminess which then results in a mislynch, it doesn't mean that that person automatically must be scum.

To answer your question with a second reason: If we're not voting, not much is going on. Voting puts pressure on people. We can discuss endlessly, whereas with a bit of pressure we might be able to seperate scum from town.

I see your point, but let me rephrase what i said awhile ago; i think that the usual reason of wanting to make or get the game going is getting old. I can understand your reasoning, i just want these things with this certain excuse to end already.

I'd appreciate it if I could answer my own questions, but you practically answered it for me. The game is moving slowly, and you can't make any sense of things when nobody is doing anything.

This will result in a random lynch, and since scum knows who is scum, will result in a townie lynch.

I appreciate you answering my question, but i must say that i think this "i just want to kick-start the game" reason is getting old already, and it's becoming too often an excuse.

Ideally, you should try to pick up on people who have shown at least a couple of scum tells. Not aggressively tunnel someone for something that may or may not even be scummy.

Do note that one person may seem scummy to another, but not to you.

    Quote from MandersHex »
Yes, but if it does result in a townie lynch, then we would be able to focus on those who voted for said townie. Chances are some would be mafia. I'm sure there's never been a mafia game where some town didn't die.

I believe that that strategy can only be effective after a series, or several of mislynches.

Yes. There's a reason for my aggressivity and that is that I want to put pressure as soon as possible on the first possible scum tell. There's a reason I told people to stop voting at L-2, because then we have enough pressure and nobody can instavote him off.

Then again, you still haven't answered my question. Why do you want to put immediate pressure to those whom you find scummy?

I feel the need to point out that I never said that I was lurking, I merely gave my opinion on the subject. That is your opinion. I already gave mine, so I don't really see the need to burden the game with a discussion of theory.
As far as speculation goes it can be useful, but that is rarely the case this early in the game.

Your previous statement of "i am still here, and paying attention" has a very strong affinity with lurking. i asked you how you thought lurking could be a good strategy, and i believe that we definitely won't be burdening the game by discussing it. And even though we are still in the early part of the game, speculation still is quite useful.

This made me laugh. Seriously though, I tend to only post when I actually have something to say, I am not going to get on here to post some inane BS or pure speculation just so I can say I posted every day.
Also I feel like "lurking" is a valid strategy for either town or scum, though if it really makes you want to vote for me, feel free.

lurking, imo, is definitely not a good strategy for town. and seeing as this is how i believe it, could you explain why you think otherwise? and btw, speculation isn't as useless as you think it is.
