With Chalice of the Void in play will it counter a new Chalice of the Void set at 1? I know Chalice CMC is 0 but does this change between casting and when it is in play?

I have a single Progenitus in my deck. My opponent have Painter's Servant in play and activates Grindstone. When will I shuffle Progenitus back into my library? After all the other cards are in my graveyard and Progenitus is the only card left or each time it is revealed? Or is the effect stopped at the time I reveal Progenitus because only one of the two cards revealed are put into my graveyard?
2) I play a Sower of Temptation. When it enters play and it's trigger is on stack (targeting my opponents bear) he kills my Sower with a Lightning Bolt. What happes?
Nice list, simple and effective. Is it possible for you to describe your match-up against Jund? your SB choices, how the game went and if you think it was more luck.
Also do you think a second cosuming Vapor in place of the random kalastria Higborn in the SB would be better? I really dont see what purpose a single kalastria higborn could have.
I understand why disfigure was good for you considering your match-ups. Dont you think Smother would have done the same job?
Thanks
Game 1 I won the roll and got a very fast start with Bloodghast x 3 !?, Nighthawk, Nocturnus. Disfigure and Tendrils took care of his creatures. I sided out 1xHexmage for 1xKalastria Highborn, that's the only one. In game 2 he got a slow start with alot of cipt lands. I played Bloodghast, Hexmage, Sign in Blood. He had a Biteminous Blast into Blightning but when I took 5 from his hand via Mind Sludge it was pretty much game. Some luck but the deck worked very nice. Sign in Blood, Disfigure, Tendrils of Corruption, Bloodghast is very good in this matchup I feel.
Hmm... Disfigure has the ability to kill 4+cc creatures (Siege-Gang) and make other 4+cc creatures small in the combat phase. Smother kills every creature with 3-cc and toughness more than 2. I prefer Disfigure... perhaps this will change later.
I should perhaps had some more fetches but 5 seems okay. Will probably go 5-7 for nationals. Creaturebase was perfect. Never met a single planeswalker so Hexmage was just a 2/1, but I felt good knowing I could deal with Jace, Garruk and freinds. Disfigure was really good, there is alot of discussion about Smother and Urge to Feed, at the moment I choose Disfigure. I never got to use Grim Discovery. Mind Sludge was awesome, Sign in Blood was also good. Perhaps -1 Grim Discovery, +1 Sign in Blood. My matchups where: R1: WGB jank, R2: BR Aggro, R3: Polymorph, R4: Jund
Regarding the Ad Nauseam Tendrils and its weirdness,
EDIT: This doesn't count as necro, since it's a sticky, right?
I guess it don't. It's just me being too lazy with magic at the moment and too busy work so that's why this post is not updated in a very long time. Hopefully I will get the chance some time. If there are any others who wants to write a primer or include some lists that they want in the opening post feel free to do so. Cheers!
I was running a Legacy tournament but registered it as a Vintage tournament. When I try to use DCI electronic reporting I get a failure. I tried to open the tournament status to change the format but It seems it was blocked. Is there some way to change the format after the tournament so I can upload the results to DCI? Thanks
Mark poole is actually really nice about signing things. He was at WWK Pre-release here. I got 10 islands and my playset of Ponders signed. It would have been more but I didnt know he was going to be there.
He sounds like a nice guy. But why did he sign you Ponders?
So I'm going to Madrid and since Mark Poole is there I want him to sign some cards for me. How many is appropiate? I have like 20 Islands... thats alot. 2 Balance, 1 Fastbond and 4 BoP... Is it okay to ask an artist to sign 20 Islands? Should I ask for about 10 and then come back later? Do artist sell stuff? What can I buy? Thanks
The art on Tropical Island sais the art is made by Mark Poole in the Alpha version and Jesper Myrfors in the Beta and Revised version. But both are the same art... who did the art and why does it name two different artist?
My opponents has both Forsaken City and Amulet of Vigor in play.
Amulet of Vigor 1 (artifact)
Whenever a permanent enters the battlefield tapped and under your control, untap it.
He uses Forsaken City for some spell during my turn. Forsaken City does not untap during his turn unless he exile a card right?
