Finally got an updated list posted a little while back and thanks to the cube comparison thread, I am back in business. There might have been a couple changes in the past year that didn't get posted when they happened but the cube contents are correct as posted.
Latest changes include cutting down from 585 to 540 and a couple swaps. All comments welcome as always! Big thanks to wtwlf123 for the concept of moving the lands into the multi color section.
Couple of quick questions. Hope this is an ok place to ask, if not let me know where these types of questions should be now. I run my dual lands not strictly bound to cycles (i.e. some types are better for the archetypes that certain color pairs play, idea came from wtwlf123) and I am cutting back. Looking for feedback on which should stay and which should go.
I've been MIA for like a year now but I finally got an updated version of my cube plugged in. I know I'm a few sets out of date but I'm hoping that seeing the cube comparison data will help me get my list up to speed more quickly.
It's been awhile since I've been around. I know my cube hasn't been updated for about six months but I'm looking to see where I stand. Is there anyway I could get a comparison generated somehow? I don't want the skew the results you are trying to generate with this thread but I'm looking to find the quickest picture of recommended cuts and adds that I've missed in the past couple months.
Edit: And actually I see now that I have done some updates past my last update on my cube thread so it will be interesting to reconcile everything. I should probably wait till I get my current list together before I ask you to do any legwork.
I'm right there with you. Dual Lands were cheap. Revised was on the shelf next to 4th (and we bought 4th instead), and packs of the early sets (except Arabian) were also available, and we were all picking up Ice Age and stuff instead.
Yeah it hurts. If I only knew what I knew now, all the money I spent on cards would have added up to an extremely impressive collection rather than a nice collection with a bunch of boxes of junk.
Yep. We're very excited. Also, bonus points because when we came home from the hospital, Calibretto's package of a couple cube cards for the common/uncommon cube I'm building was in the mailbox.
I have a favor to ask (don't worry, it's an easy one). I haven't been able to follow the thread recently as I've been distracted by the only thing that can trump the arrival of Halo Reach, cube cards mailed from the lonely cube cards thread and Scars spoilers... the arrival of a brand new baby boy!
So my favor is, while I'm not on here as much, I expect you guys to keep churning out these great evaluations and pages of discussion so I can get back up to speed quick once I get back and keep my cube in shape. Ok, so I know you'd do that anyway, I guess maybe its more of a thanks to everyone on here for all your feedback and testing rather than a request. Keep on cubing!
Now the next question is, how long before I can get him drafting....
I also have quite a few older commons as well that might be harder to find. Things like Keldon Vandals, Disenchant, Counterspell, Dauthi Marauder, Diabolic Edict, Waterfront Bouncer, Fireslinger, Incinerate, Keldon Marauders, Rift Bolt, Seal of Fire, Farseek, Llanowar Elves... If you need a specific common from an older set, just ask. I might very well have it.
And just as a small request, if anyone has a Jiboa (a River Boa from Spanish (I think) Visions) that would be awesome. I'm also looking for Salt Marsh, Shivan Oasis, and Urborg Volcano from Invasion.
Pretty sure I have those three Invasion duals, bb english. Send me a PM with you address if that's what you are looking for.

Working through my backlog of games and after finishing Disgaea, I've started the much praised The World Ends With You for DS. I'm currently very close to the beginning (Chapter 1, Day 2 I believe) but I'm finding that I'm not especially great at the battles. Even fighting the chump noise, I'm typically finishing with a C ranking. I've already died a handful of times.
So, I'm hoping to improve a bit in my battle technique. Any tips or strategies?
Of course. I like all this nostaglia. I started playing right around 4th/Ice Age before Homelands came out. It's one of the reasons I love the cube, because cards from almost all eras of Magic are still relevant and have a chance to shine.
