In an unpowered cube I think its solid but probably a close miss for me. The Evoke mode isn't as useful when you aren't stripping fast mana or protecting/stopping combos. If MH2 has more cards that synergize I might end up running it (black's limited themes are reanimnator and sacrifice so finger's crossed). Would give me a reason to add Ephemerate too.
When Portable Hole enters the battlefield, exile target nonland permanent an opponent controls with mana value 2 or less until Portable Hole leaves the battlefield.
I like this. Seems extra good in powered cubes to snipe Moxen. I'm thinking of cutting Winds of Abandon for it.
A more flexible Phyrexian Rager with one less toughness. If it did have the second toughness I'd be all over it, so I think its a near miss for me. What do you guys think?
The 5 mana mode is solid but I agree with steve_man that this doesn't quite get there. Unless the bounce effect can get you value its gonna be a mediocre card. But great for people who want to support blink/bounce and spells-matter with one card.
I have to agree with asmallcat that this card is too low impact.
A card either needs to have high raw power or synergy with an archetype to make it nowadays. This has neither. Sure, it's never a bad card but I feel like it's the type of card that ends up being your last cut because it doesn't add enough to your deck.
I don't think Showdown is bad but 4CC aggro curve toppers are not hard to come by. I'm not sure I'd want to use a multicolor slot for a card whose role is already saturated. I'll put it on my watch list though.

I like Quandrix Command more as well and that card is on the outside looking in too.

Looks like a slam dunk to me. My only complaint is that its too similar to K-Command and could use some originality in its design.
Behold. Sorcery speed card draw is past its prime.
