Thanks for the advice!
Laquatus could go.
Kiss, I can side.
Cryptics are little hard to come by, so I probably won't be getting any more of those.
At one time I ran 4 Grimmoires and they always ended up hurting me.
I didn't use Fruition at first but after trying it out, I discovered that it really helped (at least in my metagame) and Traumatize is just too much fun to let go of.
I also used to use 4 Sluice but they always seemed to hurt in the long run.
As for the sideboard I completely agree.
And I have no Wraths....
Also, you choose targets for a spell, when you play it correct?
I suppose one day I can play Ornithopter then play Dream Fracture then play another Dream Fracture on my first dream fracture and draw two cards...for 6 mana.
Can a counter spell counter itself?
For example: I play Dream Fracture and target itself. Does it technically get countered? I would not draw a card from it, would I?
This is Blue with some White mill deck. It usually does not win FNMs but it has beat many tournament decks and is still fun to play. I'd like to make it more competitive. My sideboard needs a lot of work and I also ask you to tell me your honest opinion.
My big combos are
Putting Pariah of Swans.
Conspiring Memory Sluice with two Drowners or two Grimoires.
Shutting down with Rule of Law and countering everything they do.
I recently added the Dream Fracture (I did not originally intend to use counterspells) and Ambassador Laquatus (since I added counterspells). Forced Fruition is great late game. Kiss saves me in hard times and can also hurt my opponent. Booming their first land multiple times is one of my favorite things to do.
I considered removing Oona one of the Jaces. I considered running Austere Command main board along with Gwafa. Evac used to be main along with the Plumeveils.
What are your opinions...how can I improve the deck.
I personally would enjoy a "back to basics" set. If it were prehistoric themed, then that would just add to the flavor. I also think, since there has been a lot of emphasis on basic lands, that that could work well it. Poisonous would seem to work in a prehistoric set, too!
I also see kind of a pirates, or exploring type of flavor coming from the name and description. The expansion symbol resembles a crystal or perhaps a staff? I look forward to this...
