Last night, I opened a sealed booster of Legends I had obtained a while ago and instead of the usual three uncommons right after the one rare, there were THREE ADDITIONAL RARES!!! I wish I had filmed this opening and I do have 5 other people that can confirm this. My question to you is this: has anyone ever experienced anything like this with Legends boosters or has anyone heard of anything like this occurring before? Also, the front rare was a Horn of Deafening and the three extra rares were (in this order) Alchor's Tomb, Horn of Deafening (!), and Infinite Authority. Thank you!
Am I the only person thinking that this can be insane in Modern in a Boros shell, similar to the LD deck, but throwing in Spirit of the Labyrinth on T2, play this for its first mode on T3, watch your opponent discard his (almost full) hand then draw 1 card? Hilarious...
This thing gets stonewalled by every 2/3 in the format, although it is solid against Zombies and perhaps Spirits. A 2/2 double-striker in the mid to late game isn't embarrassing, but it really does depend on how good the Wolf support is for this set. Nice and solid but definitely not amazing.

This was spoiled from a Chinese ad recently. Where did this go? It was up in this forum not one hour ago...
I am going to go along with the idea that Emrakul went to Innistrad. My primary reason for thinking this is that the name Shadows Over Innistrad sounds strikingly similar to The Shadow over Innsmouth, which is Lovecraft.
^^^^
This is what i think !! I've been told by a friend of mine, that the Eldrazi were inspired by Cthulhu, and Emrakul would be Cthulhu himself. Shadow over Innsmouth is part of the Cthulhu mythos, and i don't think this is a coincidence, the next set beeing called Shadow Over Innistrad
Small problem, while Shadow over Innsmouth is part of the Cthulhu universe, it does not involve Cthulhu. The villains in Innsmouth are the Deep Ones, a race of fish people.
Who worship Cthulhu as their god.
I thought the Deep Ones worshipped Dagon and Mother Hydra as their Gods. Either way, a Lovecraftian theme would be refreshing and awesome if done properly!
Again, if that mystic gate is legit it rules out the five ennemy "battle" lands just because of number crunch being #26 (The battle lands were expeditions 1-5 in BfZ, if they are in Oath they would be #26-30 or at least before filterlands...).
Ah. I was under the impression that WOTC wasn't doing 5-card cycles concerning lands. If so, then I guess the filters plus manlands are the most logical.
FWIW, here's my guess on the nature of the remaining Expeditions:
5 x Enemy "Battle" lands
10 x Filter lands (assuming the Mystic Gate card is legit)
5 x Special lands, with my guesses as Wasteland, Rishadan Port, Maze of Ith, Horizon Canopy, and Grove of the Burnwillows. WOTC has stated that the Expeditions are legal only in the formats where the originals are legal, so why not print a few that are Legacy-only? Certainly would be an unexpected treat and it wouldn't increase the supply so much that the originals would be devalued.
Is it possible that the third "manland" could be named something that starts BEFORE Ally Encampment? Like Aggressive Sandsteppe or something like that? That would mean there were only 5 Artifacts, but it would fit the Number Crunch.
Please forgive my intrusion, but am I reading Keranos right? His ability triggers the first time you would draw a card. It says to reveal it. If it's a land, draw a card. Now does this effect replace the original draw or is this more along the lines of "if the card you were about to draw is a land, draw it anyways and nothing else happens."
My interpretation of Keranos seems to be "reveal the first card you were about to draw. If it's a land, draw it then proceed to Main phase; otherwise, Bolt something, then draw whatever you just revealed." If so, then this seems very underwhelming. Please correct me if I'm missing some key piece of information. Thanks!
First off, I wish people would stop complaining about how underpowered this set is compared to RTR. Granted, it is not as exciting in the fact that the guilds seem weaker than the earlier ones, but we don't know how the Standard environment will shape up after Gatecrash becomes legal. Esper Mill just may be viable; Bant midrange may become a powerhouse; Boros may very well outclass the current "aggro" scheme. Instead of complaining, go out and test new strategies and prove the other naysayers wrong!
Second, I'm glad they are curbing the powercreep to an extent. This set is not a new Homelands, so be thankful for that. If it means you don't buy boxes, buy singles instead.
Finally, since when does every Mythic have to be worth double digits to be "worth buying a box for"? Isn't this game supposed to be fun? If you're buying Magic to hedge as an investment or "get maximum EV", take your money and go to Wall Street.
