Evolutionary Leap was great, I used it to draw more gas with elves and my tokens once they had done their thing. I drew a few duds and bombs with it. It's a good insurance policy if my opponents were to cast wrath, clones, or Control Magic, since I could sacrifice them in response. The shuffle effect was great with Sylvan Library too. I also wanted more green mana in play for this.
This card is going to be sticking into my list for a while as I have been craving for more instant speed sacrifice effects in cube. Sacrifice effects are generally underrated in my opinion.
I like this change a lot, though the Delver player might like it even more than I do. I really hope this becomes a permanent change as I do enjoy the occasional booster draft.
So cheap! I'm very surprised to see Molten Vortex so pushed as you cannot be much more efficient than this. It's not great in aggressive decks but if you're playing Crucible of Worlds and Life from the Loam then this is a slam dunk. I could see this breaking into 360 lists.
It's not strictly worse than Damnation in cube, since like Wildfire, creatures with 5 or more toughness creatures are going to survive. I'm not sure what size a cube may want this, but it's certainly a strong card. The problem is Toxic Deluge and Damnation are just better.
Oh man, cube is really going to be all killer and no filler a lot faster than I had ever thought. Soon Magic fans will be claiming there is a 1cmc over powered cycle like the whole Tarmogoyf, Dark Confidant, etc. cycle.
And now that the whole Legendary Creature//Planeswalkers cycle is spoiled I am already hoping for more in the future. Here is to hoping that they pushed Jace and Gideon hard enough that the Magic fans won't stop asking for more.
Yeah, Rather than being satisfying, as soon as all 5 of these were spoiled, I just wondered what the next 5 would be like.
I want more already :/.
Haha yeah, they're so intricate and will create very unique game states that I know I already want more and more. Plus aggressive decks have problems with walkers, so why not give them some walkers of their own?
This particular walker is extremely weird as it kind of destroys aggressive decks too...
That and the creature does too, why does the indestructible ability also let you block is beyond me. I love powerful this card is but he seems oppressively good.

Savannah Lions with upside, the planeswalker? Yep that is a cube card. Surpasses everything to become the best white 1 drop of all time, sorry Mother.

Ruinous Path

I ran this in my Gu Opposition/Natural Order deck last night along with Survival of the Fittest and Sylvan Library.
