I also found Repeal to be a beast in most matchups. And the cantrip is awesome.

I am playing a list very similar to yours, but I still have the Gifts. What Stnkfist says is very true, more than once I've won because a bad decision from my oponnent on the gift choices. And I love to bluff with them (pick things I alreadyhave on my hand and that I know they'll drop).

The deck can work without Gifts, I'll give you that. But it seems to me it is much more fun with them. At least on my case.

Lucas, do you fing the Tron relevant at all with that strategy? I've played a list with similar objective (breach an Eldrazi) and found BR Reanimator to be much more consistent (Breach and Goryo's).

I agree with Stnkfist, on control matchups I usually play to hard cast Emrakul. 13 uncolored lands (if you are running Eye of Ugin) are a lot, adding one more could be a headache, have not tried it.

I find the lack of Noxious Revival and Snapcaster Mage on the Jarvis Yu article pretty weird. They enable sick Gifts Ungiven packages.

Why not both? I just tested both cartds together for a while and it was amazing. Magma Jetting while Bob was out is awesome, if you need a land, you can place it first to negate damage from Bob, otherwise, just leave the lower cost card first, most of the times you'll take only 1 dmg.

Could you post your deck? Or at least tell us which cards made you pick those colors (bombs or just good cards)?

I need advice. I'm playing the PTQ on Sunday, and I have two decks two choose from.

Hypergenesis and Mono Red Burn.

I like both lists a lot, MRB a little bit more, but the thing is... I don't know ANYTHING about my meta. The PTQ is not held in my city, and I know nobody from there to scout for me.

What would you take considering that fact?

A friend of mine is going to NYC for a couple of days on a bussiness trip. While there, I asked him if he could pick up a couple of M10 booster boxes for me. He'll be staying on an hotel near Times Square. Can anyone point me to a place where they sell magic (and reasonably priced too, if that's not too much to ask) that it is not too far away from Times Square? I tried to use the magic store locator on the Wizards web, but I don't know how far away are the places I found from my buddy hotel.

Why is it a must have? You can't prowl earwig out of the sac ability from the fanatic, you need to have dealt combat damage, not just damage.

Maelstrom Pulse? I honestly don't know the legacy meta, I wouldn't know if it is being played.

Panoramas don't stick around for that long, it's highly unlikely that you'll have more than two of them at the same time.

Not sure someone already pointed this put, but in decks with cascade (G/R Haste, for example) I HATE to hit a borderpost, that's the main reason I took them out.

Concerning that kind of draw, is it legal to force one that way? Just asking, I always had that doubt.

Dauntless Escort may be a good choice depending on the state of the board.

Terminate doesn't hit Burrenton Forge-Tender. And that card wrecks Blightning Aggro or pretty much any red deck.
