5,000? Why so high? All a custom is supposed to be is a little "reward" for sticking with the site for a good amount of time, not a far-off goal for the spamming elite. Even a site with a bunch of spam opportunities and a ginormous member base would only have 50-odd people with custom titles under 5000/title.

I think 1000 would keep it out of the hands of n00bs, without making it unattainable.

I vote nah. Even if mtgnews does go bust, I predict that there'll be 30-odd shelters, and many members who were just there for the colo, or rumors Salvation wouldn't be able to get, would just go away.

This may end up being a successful board on its own, but I think that most newsers would pick something more successfully publicized (not that this couldn't be, of course )

I like this theme, personally, but if you want to stress the "mtgnews' shelter forum" thing, you could try to match theirs.

I thought I'd get this section of the site started with something everyone can enjoy, stand-in-line trivia!

Here's how it works:

Someone posts a trivia question (Magic or non-Magic).

Next person answers the question and provides one of their own.

No guessing! It screws up the game if someone gets an answer wrong (though not much)

I'm against participating in an abortion, and would personally insist (if my sig. other would listen to me) to not have an abortion of a child of mine (I'd rather put him/her up for adoption)

However, I don't think "whether or not abortions are good" isn't the root of the abortion controversy.

I lie on the side of "they're bad, but people should be allowed to have them anyway." side of the tracks.
