When I came home tonight an unexpected show of sorts awaited. As I sat on the city bus and was approaching my stop, I noticed a police barricade in front of us. Having seen trucks and vans by the nearby bar, O'Connell's, in the morning, I assumed it was some sort of concert. Five minutes later, once the police, one officer by herself, actually, had cleared the area wide enough for a bus to go through, it was apparent that it was not a concert. There were cameras, very bright lights hanging from a cherry-picker, and people everywhere. What would film at O'Connell's, however, was puzzling.
The answer awaited about fifteen minutes later when I went to the local market to pick up soup and plastic bowls. It was there that I found out it was Veronica Mars that was shooting. Being set in San Diego, I guess it shouldn't be too surprising but it was still somewhat interesting. At any rate, I have never seen the show, but will try to catch a few on cw.com to see this episode.
Anyone like the show? Anyone have similiar experiences?

published the article There are many good reasons to want to play the new Magic Online that just hit the 'net. Magic Online, as proved at the Pro Tour level over the past few years, is a great way to test your skills online and improve upon them. Also there are always games to be found and you can play from the comfort of your home. Because of these and many more reasons Magic Online has been a hit despite the fact that some still profess they will never use it. The reasons for this are various and unique however one of the most commonly citied is the money. People can simply not see spending money on digital objects that are so intangible. But what if you were able to get all of these benefits without the downsides? Then you would be golden.Posted in: MTGS Mini #9: Magic Software Review: NetDraft

published the article Magic, being the complex game that it is, has spawned many different and unique formats in which it can be played in. Many of these do not go further than the the play group who creates them while others find there way to multiple play groups via the Internet. Some of these formats go so far as becoming programmed game-types on Magic Online, such as Vanguard, Highlander and Tribal, while two others have even gone so far to become sanctioned in DCI tournaments. So is the case with Rochester Draft.Posted in: Aimless Wanderings: The Basics of Rochester Draft

published the article As a Magic player, I have a feeling we all have requested Magic cards from friends and family one time or another. And we all have been disappointed. The fact of the matter is that those who are not enlightened, those who do not play Magic, simply do not know the difference bewteen Legions boosters and the latest theme-deck and boxes and boosters. Being right in the middle of the holiday shopping season this article may be a little late to help you out this year but in the future whenever you have reason to request gifts; New Years, your birthday, graduation, go ahead and link the Magic-knowledgeless-gift-giving-person to this article and it should help them out.Posted in: MTGS Mini #2: Magic Shopping Guide

A while back all of you, the general Salvation public that is, said you were tired of bad deck names. So much so you almost got ButteBlues18 to write an article talking about it. Sadly the article lost in the poll and was never written. However the public showed that they would like to hear more about the death of deck names. So I am here to give it to them!
