Uh, Bad Moon seems wholly unnecessary. Once you have five rats, their power and toughness become irrelevant anyway, really. I have now gone 3-4 with this list:



Not sure if I am totally happy with this build, but the deck is fun. Good, it would seem not so much.

I never played Type 2 on MWS because I generally find them to be the ones most likely to be jerks. But I am playing a really fun deck so I had to. I may have more tonight considering what I am playing. Here is a log from just now:

There are a number of things that hate this deck. From what I have seen in six games on MWS, four of which I won, is that there is a bunch of hate out there that hurts. Leyline of Singularity, Extirpate, Angel's Grace, Seht's Tiger, among other things, make victory very difficult. What I have seen is that cutting Mortal Combat might make this deck better. When I have had all the rats out, it generally wins that turn on old rats, or the next turn. I think putting Mortal Combat in the sideboard along with a toolbox of other useful spells might be the best build. At any rate, here is my current build:



The sideboard is not very useful right now. I will try and fix it up later.

Yeah, we played Timbermare as it fit in with the R/G deck we played and all it ever did for us was lose us games. One game we were up quite a bit and went for it only to see a Fortify come back and get us to the point. The other game we played him he only hurt the board position. I would have boarded him out but after 2HG is only one game. I also played such **** as Tidewalker for reasons I am unable to explain that I couldn't side out latter. I'll post the lists later tonight I think, they were G/R and U/B.

Okay, I know this is a little different from what has been done in here before but I figure it should be interested. Below is the pool I had the the Pro Tour: San Diego LCQ. Being a Two-Headed Giant pool, you have to build two decks with it. I will post how I (mis)build it soon. In my defense, I didn't know the format well and didn't have much help from my partner. At any rate, please post the two decks you would make of this.

I know I was scummy. Ask the host about my PMs to him. I had to be scummy if we had any chance at all of winning. So please, don't tell me I played badly here. I play in the only manner that left victory possible.

Also, AoK, the missing kill that you mention in your voting for the clan contest can not be blamed on the team, Cubus said he was sending it before the deadline came and then waited until after the deadline to submit it. That is not a team problem, it is an accident by one player. I also do not think that voting for no one is fair to the clans that were assigned scum roles.

I never really panicked Cyan, I knew what I was doing the whole time. But when the whole vanilla thing came down on me, I had no choice. I knew I was about to be lynched so I figured I would take my chances in a situation where there were only one person who would see I was obviously scum. I am pretty disappointed and upset though that HKKID got replaced on the last day. Why exactly did this happen, it was never said in thread? I had my goals on how to win all set up, but that replacement totally changed things. Once Cyan was in the game, I more or less knew I was going to loss. So, as loran said, we decided to just try and troll you into looking horrible.

I mean, I knew by the time Cubus died that I was not going to win the game. But I figured I would gambit it out. So yeah, most of Cyan's arguments were true. I was appealing to emotions. I was using a bunch of WIFOM logic, although he didn't jump on that a lot. I still wish that I hadn't died so soon, I really did want to pull the game out. And I think it was possible. It helps, Cyan, that not all of your arguments were actually good ones. I stand by about half of what I was saying, but I guess that is niether here nor there.

Overall, the missed kill is most disappointing. But such is life, I guess. I am also not so sure how fair 10-3 is given the the abilities we have. The deadlines are nice, but they don't really help us all that much.

So how exactly are clan points being given out for this game? I don't remember it being stated and it would seem as though it would be difficult to do so.

I am attempting to look at my detailed personal stats through the DCI but I have encountered a problem. Over the years I have filled out no fewer than four DCI numbers (I know, shame on me). While at Pro Tour: San Diego I used the DCI booth to have these numbers combined. However, now as I go to view my stats, I need my password and none of them that I have tried work. I asked to retrieve it with my old email, but it tells me more than one of my numbers are registered there. I am told to email Wizards customer service, but I am wondering if this is the best course of action. Is there anyone I can email about this? Also, is there any way I can just give someone my full name and zip code and be provided with my DCI number and password. He told me at the booth that I was being assigned to my oldest number but now I am not sure if that is correct. Any assistance is welcomed, thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the Top 8 list, which is more or less what I was planning on running.

I tried getting duals but no one was generous so I decided it was a better idea to just not play the event instead of playing something sub-optimal. I didn't stay for Top 8, I'm afraid, I was bitter and left pretty quickly after it began. That and I was tired from four o'clock at the LCQ the night before. At any rate, I may be able to find some more information and let you guys know.

Sorry guys, my PC is killing itself. I am on outdated Linux currently and will be for a few days but I will do what I can. Cyan, your case makes me physically angry after having read. This is no logical, at all. All HKKID did was agree with what a confirmed vanilla was saying. It could be assumed that the PMs of vanillas would share many, if not all, traits. I would think HKKID wouldn't need to think about this, it should have been obvious from the beginning, no?

Please. Never do people that are investigated get informed of it. Almost never do people that are Doc protected get informed of it. Almost always, people that are roleblocked get informed of it. The dynamic of a roleblock is different than that of an investigation or a protection. Please, stop trying to use arguments that can't possibly work against someone that has any decent mafia experience. It's insulting.

I am insulted too. You are simply lieing here. People are not always informed of when they are blocked, this is especially true when it comes to vanillas who were using no abilities. And yes, it is somewhat uncommon for people to recieve these confirmations, but it does happen and you know it. And if it does happen, it is more likely that roleblocking gets confirmation too. If it doesn't happen, it is more likely that roleblocking doesn't get confirmation either.

Now you are just hoping the other players won't look into your argument. Yes, it says that. But as I said, it says that at the beginning of the post. His overall message is not that, AT ALL. How can you read that post and get that meaning out of it? You can't, unless you are scum.

It is blatantly a fabrication, like everything you have said in the last two days. You got caught in a lie, and came up with 'I'm the town RB!' as a last ditch cover, knowing that the existence of a town RB was extremely unlikely, because A)the mafia had a roleblocker and B)no mention had ever been made of a town RB throughout the entire game.

We don't know what if any abilities you have, but it wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being a mafia that mirrors the town. And yes, the fact that no one was aware of me at all is why I didn't want to claim. But once I drew suspision it occured to me I could claim safely anyway.

@SG: I'm still waiting for you to make an actual case here. Saying 'HKKID must be the last scum because I know it isn't me!' means absolutely nothing. One day you're convinced that HKKID must be town, the next day you're doing a complete 180. Hell, Kenji said *exactly* the same as you did here regarding RafK recently in DotA Mafia. I am condemning SG in entirety because he is the only one that can possibly be scum. Not only do all of his actions bear this out, but again, there is the vanilla flavor text situation. As town, it is a person's responsibility to hunt down scum. In this situation, it is necessary for me to be direct and aggressive. I replaced into a situation where the last scum of the game, SG, was one vote away from winning the game, and could acheive that vote in multiple ways. The dwindling clock leaves no room for missteps nor soft play.

You just did the exact same thing. I stated my process of elimination and you stated yours. But when I do it it is scummy and when you do it it is sound logic? And speaking of soft play, weren't you just saying that I would want to make the soft play right now?

Also, I know the results of DotA. I was in the game, as I believe you know. So why I want to replicate the play of a player there? I also want you to note here that HKKID had said that he felt loran* SorryGuy had played like a townie, until I lynched H'Roth.

Honestly, I thought about responding to this post and saying 'Take your time, I won't keep posting about all of this, I'm sure you'll make the right decision'. While I do have confidence that, in the end, you will see that the only logical conclusion to these events is that SG is scum and I am town, I find myself unable to sit by and hope that you both choose correctly without as much information as possible. Such is not in my nature. Look at what I have said in my posts. There is no deceit, no attempts to mislead. All I have done is point out scummy actions by SG, which he has either not anwered, or answered poorly. SG has lied at every single turn, and put forth answers that simply don't make any sense.

I can accept that HKKID's actions made him suspicious to you. You really should take into account that HKKID was opposed to HRothgar being lynched, and lead the crusade against Cubus. Both of these were correct decisions, and it is highly unlikely that HKKID's play yesterday makes any sense as scum.

I am insulted that you accuse me of lurking. Not only does this not make sense, it is obviously not the case. You can ask anyone on this site who has me on AIM, there are quite a few of them, and you will see that I was not on since Friday. Check my MySpace. Check my profile here, which I am sure you did. I have never and will never attempt to lurk my way to victory in a game. I felt guilty throughout not having access. I actually hoped loran would have jumped back in here. Also, how would it help me to lurk at this point in the game? It wouldn't. I am one defending myself here, and dropping off the face of the earth would only allow you to make the misleading arguments against me that you have. Look outside the game and please retract that comment. Also note that when interested in games, I am always active. This is especially true in the endgame of games.

Now, as for your continued insistence that I make a case on you: I see what you are doing and I will not do it. I have made it clear I feel you have played well. You want me to contradict myself and say you are scummy and then jump on me for it. I won't do it. AoK has made some decent points against you, you can address those if you like. More than anything I just know you are scum. I can't prove it though, so the best I can do is defend myself. If I do it well enough, maybe Archy or AoK will believe me. And if they do, then you might be in trouble. But the best I can do is defend myself and that is what I am going to do.
