I think this card, while good, is no mind control. It will almost always do nothing if you are wining and requires you to have a creature. However, I welcome it as a splashable, similar card with a better name.
I'll second Blossom; specifically as a reanimator target in Frites and as one of the better peices of art in the set so far. I think that I'd rather use Buttercup as a general just because she protects herself so well, she'll probably replace Uril as my Voltron general of choice. All in all, I'm a fan of the cycle.
Gisela says "If a source would deal damage to you or a permanent you control, prevent half that damage, rounded up." Would this prevent 1 damage outright, such as the ability on Goblin Fireslinger or Overabundance? I am leaning towards not and have seen both answers in other places, but I want to be sure.
Elesh Norn is definitely better in a Frites deck, but post rotation (when Elesh, hopefully the Titans, Massacre Wurm, Wurmcoil Engine rotate) I think that she could be pretty good.
I think she could have use now, especially if you have a beatdown plan in the sideboard. Post-rotation she will definitely shine, maybe alongside the other angel.
Oh my, Gisela in Frites...my head is spinning...not saying she'll replace Elesh Norn or anything but wow. Especially if you run Flayer of the Hatebound.
1 million dollars would go to each of my hobbies (read:addictions): Magic, Video Games, Computers. 1 million in investments. 3 million to live off each year, 2 million for a new house, rest goes into a savings account. Don't want to be the guy who blows it all in 5 years and ends up broke.
A while ago, I was given Pokemon Sapphire by a friend. As it turns out, the game wouldn't start. I found said game again today and was wonderig iftyere was any known way to fix it. Whenever I turn it on, it goes to the screen that says Gameboy with the nintendo logo, except the logo is garbled and the game doesnt progress from there.
Funny that people thought Innistrad was crap just a while before now its a solid set while this one is crap.
The circle of life continues in MTG.
Really. A set sucks untill three weeks in when someone actually tries out some of the cards and they turn out to be good, and then everyone's such a fan.
With Blood Feud you can make two opponents creatures fight each other, and potentially get a 2-for-1. If you have to use it as a Pret Upoun it sucks, but as a 6 mana double removal spell it looks pretty nice.
