More or less. Kind of unbalencing no? Not that i wouldnt have wanted to be in that game....:-P. Just kidding around with you so that i could be distracted from studying for my last final.
FOS Salubrious for being a fellow RBSer.
Losing your edge? I believe you've already FOS'd me (post 116).
This Nom_Anor business went down an interesting course. I believe his claim, and so I rescind my suspicions.
The UVPod wagon, however, is just bizarre. I had gotten a town feeling from him before, but now I really have to reconsider. The FOS argument is really telling, and all the faulty arguments (such as the assumption that FOS for bertrand must equal a vote) merit a vote. Vote UVPod
I am not liking Nom Anor's post 333 and the unvote/FOS present within. The reasons given are unsatisfactorily speculative and bandwagony. Axelrod brought up some great points in his PBPA; I'd like to see how NA responds to them before voting.
It should be quite clear that my opinion changed in between the two posts you quoted. I have a strong reason that I cannot easily explain. [/hint, hint]
Okay, I understand. unFOS cp.
On the topic of lurking, I'm posting a minimum of a post per day, but I'll increase my posting volume henceforth.
Looking over the whole Sutherlands mess, I can't say I'm entirely convinced of his towniness. However, I am much more bothered by cp's rapid about-face. Not only is there the sudden unvoting that everyone mentioned, but also this:
I hate the way you played this, fade. Not only did you argue against Sutherlands when you thought he was town, but you did it with points that don't matter, as far as reactions go. I'm talking about the ad hominem attacks from Sutherlands that you felt the need to turn back on him. What was that all about if you didn't feel like he should be lynched?
Also, you certainly didn't reach any kind of conclusion that others could detect, so you've basically asked us to trust your instincts on this one. That's, at best, frustrating, and at worst, directly disruptive to the task at hand. You took over the argument against Sutherlands, and then pulled the rug out from underneath the accusers, which smells of a scum tactic more than anything.
I'm going to have to review the thread to make sure my initial impression is reasonable, but just from reading the last couple pages, I'm more inclined to see this behavior as implicating fade than as benefiting Sutherlands.
Please explain this aparent discrepancy. Also, I know you said
If we were all to spend the night in one room, then for anyone to not show up would be suspicious. I don't think it would matter where they claimed to be, if we all agreed to go to the docks, and someone were to not show up, they would have a lot to explain the next day.
Mafia can hide behind role restrictions, as some people have stated it's in their interests to be in a certain room at night (Frex, Wuffles). In addition, it could expose a power role. I guess the point is moot, though.
Nah, this is silly. If this were the case, the mafia would have to get lucky in order to kill their first choice, which is normally a given in mafia games. Even if we assume there are no protective roles whatsoever in this game, this would hose the scum way too much to be a vuiable restriction.
Not only that, but if it did turn out to be true, we would definitely want to divide the players up in a defined way, because then only certain people could be accused of having performed the kill, which would be great for the town.
What if, for example, the mafia needed to know what room a prospective target was in order to kill them? In that case, revealing where we were the day after would be preferable to making plans before nightfall. It would be better to play it safe at first.
Also, I don't think all of us going into one room will benefit the town. A scum could say they were at the City Alehouse when in fact they were at the Court Salon and we wouldn't know the difference if we all spent the night at the docks.
I think this has already been mentioned, but your actions remind me a lot of Azrael in World Domination Mafia 2, although the fact that you have four (or possibly more) votes from the beginning is not encouraging.
I had felt my comment was distinct enough from your question that it would not conflict with your request. Apologies.

I hope UVP posts soon.

The case against Nom Anor, though, seems interesting. I think I'm going to have a look over his posts and see what there is to see.

but could you at least try to explain?
For emphasis, Unvote Pibbly, FOS cp

His avatar is devious!
Pretty well, actually. Sadly, I won't find out until later in the month what my scores are.
Today I have a splitting headache.
