And now I'm even happier after hearing that ORESKABAND is going to be in a movie. Directed by Barry Rosenbush, of "High School Musical." Sweeeet!
Here's the news article I wrote about it: link

Mine, personally, were pretty lame. I'm not a very good artist. -
Jan 30, 2007fadeblue posted a message on Windows leading into brick wallsIn terms of additional features, Vista is another Windows ME - it provides nothing new (in terms of positive benefits). Vista is designed to cripple the user. Computers were meant to be productivity-enhancing tools, but Microsoft wants to instead turn them into another form of consumer control.Posted in: votan's Blog
Some good news: a security researcher in Canada apparently has already hacked the Vista DRM. Unfortunately, it still doesn't solve Vista's resource-hogging
The lesson: avoid Vista at all costs. -
Jan 27, 2007fadeblue posted a message on Stick-figure fun! Some people really put a good amount of effort into these. For example, #256093 is really cool, even though it seems part of the arm may have fallen outside of the boxes. Or the Batman in #256062. Hmm... I'll see if I can come up with anything cool that'll be worth posting about, but I suck as an artistPosted in: get faded
One other neat thing is that you can even include them as Flash objects on a website or blog! -

I guess I'll start working on Part VIII in the series then. Seems like it's received enough positive feedback in the past that people will be more interested in it. -

Zoe, Town Vanilla.
@Nny: I still don't see how you arrived at your interpretation of my alignment. Also, you say that Proph is almost certainly scum, but you're voting me, so I assume that means you somehow think I am certainly scum?
@Karn: I really just want to know why you seem sure I'm town when no one else does.
@Generic: Do you mind repeating what exactly your read on me is? Because you're saying that you simply barned Seppel to get a claim, even though the options he presented were PR or scum (ie if you agreed with that assessment but didn't think I'm likely to be scum, then you were voting to get a PR to claim)
@Nny: What's your excuse for being on the wagon?
@Karn: Since you seem to be the only one all game besides Cantrip (!) who has labeled me as town - who do you think are the remaining scum?
Here's a quick run down of the D1 wagons with confirmed alignments (counting Raptor as town). I've included three additional counts between #10 and #11 (during Tom's absence) because there were some counterwagons available.

- Possibility #1: Scum were looking for a counterwagon to Cantrip.
There were three alternatives to Cantrip late in the game: LnG, Raptor, and me. However, all were short-lived, so the scum may not have had time to react even if they were looking for a counterwagon. The only non-confirmed players who voted on any of those were Seppel, Generic, and Proph.
Seppel was the one who was most looking for another wagon yesterday, but those look enough like legit hunting, and he kept coming back to Cantrip. Generic and Proph to a lesser extent were also looking for counterwagons, and of those two, Proph is the most likely scum in this scenario. Looking at the voting record, he looks the most like he doesn't want the Cantrip wagon to go through.
- Possibility #2: Scum were bussing Cantrip.
If that was a bus, I doubt it was coordinated, based on Cantrip's reactions and his role. This likely means that a teammate single-handedly decided to push forward all the way. Karn looks like the only possibility (Proph looks more like he was trying not to bus).
- Possibility #3: Scum were sitting on the sidelines (i.e. Shockwave) or were inactive (sXe/Nny).
There are also the combinations of these possibilities (i.e. one scum was looking for a counterwagon while the other was inactive, etc.)
The behavioral and circumstantial evidence is overwhelmingly against you. I play mainly for high probability lynches, and you are by far the highest probability play today.
Hey, if you're really town and get lynched, will you reevaluate how you play? Or will you just blame other people for being bad town?
I would actually prefer to wait on the hammer until Shock posts.
Why does this not sound like a response to someone LnG has listed as his #1 scum suspect?
I can hammer if there are no other outstanding topics to discuss.
@LnG: In #761, you said:
The "still think" implies that these are reads you've had since before. Why is sXe/Nny included in here?
In #816:
What do you mean when you say you could only compare Cantrip interactions to sXe/Nny and Raptor? Particularly when you had scum reads on both of them?
In #919:
When did you start reading Rodemy/Fighting as "obvtown"?
Didn't you also say this in #922?
That doesn't really sound like Karn and Rodemy/Fighting are "obvtown" to me.
Oh, in #933, when trying to counter Generic, you stated that you like this post of yours, which I assume means you're saying it's representative of what your reads were on D1.
Notably, you have sXe as null along with Cantrip, you have Proph as town, and me as leantown.
According to your #951 though:
And so I wasn't a townread after all. And now you somehow have me at the bottom of your list with Proph at second from the bottom, yet you didn't even feel like mentioning either of us in #761? And after you stated on D1 that you think me and Cantrip are a dichotomy, but are now backpedaling on that? Is that because Seppel has changed his mind about me again, so now you think I'm a viable option after all?
--------------------
Let's consider D1. Cantrip was under fire the whole day, yet his wagon stalled at multiple points. That was pretty clearly not a coordinated bus (if it was, Cantrip wasn't privy to it), so scum must have been looking for a townie counterwagon to stick. So what happened? I acknowledged my inactivity and intentionally offered myself up as a lynch, something I wouldn't normally do, but the circumstances looked right:
1) The game was stalling on Cantrip's wagon, and I wanted to see where exactly certain players stood (specifically, who would jump at the opportunity for a counterwagon).
2) Shortly before that, LnG was briefly an alternate wagon, but that one also failed to go through.
3) Seppel, the most active player, was advocating my wagon, which means that after I "gave up" and offered to be lynched, most people would normally see that as an easy lynch (i.e. they would feel it easy to justify joining the wagon).
And look how quickly LnG jumped to the wagon. Seriously, look at that reasoning:
It's not even a "fade is scum" argument - he simply wants to get rid of me for "not wanting to play" (i.e. he is not at all interested in hunting scum). And then he ends the day with:
Yeah, not interested at all.
LnG's voting pattern on D1 was terrible, especially now that we know Cantrip was scum.
LnG and Raptor were the only ones who bit on the honeypot lynch I offered, and both bit hard. I still think lots of signs point to Raptor as scum as well, but if masons are guaranteed to be town in a Basic, then we can put him in the town pile. (Need to do a check of storyteller's opinions towards Raptor.)
Nny's posts so far are good. If he and Raptor are both town, the most logical remaining scum is Proph.
I'd rather spend the little time I have for this game on figuring out which of you are scum.
Sigh. The statement of "too many town reads" was simply my general feeling about the game, in the sense that very few people were triggering my scumdar. I had previously felt that was because the scum were playing carefully or because all the people talking were town, but when I was counting Shock and reconsidered Cantrip, I decided that it was very likely I was wrong about at least one person.
If we had to place bets right now, I still feel Shock is more than 50% likely to be town, but I don't know how much higher. In any case, I don't think the odds of him being scum are not nearly good enough to make him a viable lynch today.
Cantrip is currently in my lynch candidate group for several reasons:
- The main reason I reconsidered him at the time was simply due to tone. His content and approach to the game still doesn't look town, and his recent posts are again missing that tone.
- As I said before, usually when town players make big posts, there are bound to be some parts that look town (in terms of content). His posts do not have those.
- The way he claimed does not look town.
- Other players look more town.
- Even if he is town, his flip will be informative.
Why? You don't feel like analyzing them for yourself?
The most I can give you is: "I'm town; ergo, they come from a town mindset." It's everyone else's job to determine whether I'm lying. If you think they come from a scum mindset, then explain why.
Because at the time I was still including Cantrip and Shock in my list of people who I felt were more likely town than not. 7/11 town reads on D1 means I'm very likely to be wrong somewhere.
