i would just sell it to bots for TIX...i ebayed my collection and got less than 50% of what it was worth.

that would be a great idea if 1) i were interested in getting tickets for it and 2) i intended to actually log onto 3.0.

what i asked for, however, is how much its worth in USD.

When do B/R changes take effect? I'm playing in a PTQ tomorrow, is why I ask. Will it be under the new or old list?

b/r changes take effect on the 20th of the month, iirc.

and no, they're not going to unban entomb. it doesn't seem like that much of an enabler, but trust me on this- you don't want that card unbanned.

Aether Vial- staying banned. it made control completely unplayable when it was legal before it was banned.

Skullclamp- You're f***ing kidding me, right?

as for legacy, i don't care.

and vintage. as dumb as it was to unrestrict gush, wotc will leave the format alone.

he will get some # of tokens if he chooses, you won't. because of APnAP stacking, your abilities go on the stack first, then he puts his on. granted you both get to choose the order, only he has the option of getting some # of tokens.

Alright this is getting annoying, =P

    Alright, here's what they draw:

    Coffin Purge

They draw it n times where n <=4.
Assuming the best case scenario for the opponent in which there are nothing in any of the graveyards at the beginning of the scenario.

again, if the mindslaver player has more than one in hand it doesn't matter how many coffin purges the lockee has in hand. he's only going to get to fire one off, then the lock proceeds to start over.

its a shame that fisher's brilliance on the chessboard will largely be overshadowed by his insanity for a long time.

easily the best player born outside of the western hemisphere and cuba, and easily the most dominant player ever when considering his run to the title in 1972, at his core, fischer was more or less taking self loathing to a whole new level. his anti-semitic tirades are now almost as memorable as his games. the irony is that he was a jew.

in the world of modern chess (post steinitz), he still holds records that won't ever be broken. his 20 consecutive victories in 1970-1971 (final 7 games at the 1970 Interzonal, the 6 games against Bent Larsen in their candidates match, the 6 games against Mark Tiamanov in their candidates match, and the first game against Tigran Petrosian in their candidates match)

in matches against players ranked in the top 10, fischer is the only person to have a perfect record (Larsen & Tiamanov)

he held the record for youngest Grandmaster for 33 years (1958-1991, his record of 15 years 6 months 1 day was beaten by Judit Polgar a little over a month).

brilliant, troubled, driven insane by his pursuit of the title and the soviet collusion to keep him out of the title picture.

r.i.p. bobby, time will eventually forgive your lunacy but it will never forget your greatness over the board.

Debt of Loyalty does not work quite right on teh modo.

when you regenerate one of your creatures with it, it inexplicably gives it to your opponent.

    just a heads up.

Peacekeeper could also be good times with Simic Guildmage.

I am not sure I like the Morinfin avatar, but I suppose it is there just for some crazy combo deck.

the only problem with the morinfen avatar is that in classic vanguard its almost completely worse than the dakkon avatar for the combo decks.

Does anyone know what the peacekeeper and morinfin avatars actually do? Is it worth playing the release for the avatars?

    Morinfen

At the beginning of your upkeep, you lose 1 life for each permanent you control.

    Peacekeeper

3: For each opponent who controls a creature, put a token into play as a copy of a card named Arrest, and attach it to a creature that player controls, chosen at random.

    Hello everyone,

This is speak your mind so... here goes...

I got a letter from WOTC the other day, (FEDEX'ed of course) saying the following:

Hmmmm... yeah, not that I'm playing MTG anymore (And truth be told this makes me even more hungry for rumormongering), but the people who I've spoken to about this seemed quite amused/confused.

So I ask you all the following:

Do spoilers provide any advantage to you/anyone all at tourneys?

And having said that let me also say this: How would you even measure that advantage?

(...Aside from MARO's magical rumor measuring ruler they tried to whip on R_E and myself...)

I'm a little confused on how spoilers provide an advantage when we're all given random cards at the PR, but I'm sure someone will have an theory on that too...

Thoughts, queries, theories... I'd love to hear 'em my amigos.

    Thumbs Up

you knew that other people had been getting their DCI memberships suspended for similar infractions, so i don't see how playing th "oh noes, all i did was leak some spoilers" card really helps your case.

sorry, chief, but you had it coming.

Gelid Shackles seems like a great SB card. I had forgotten it shut down activated abilities as well. I think I'll play it over condemn. The last thing agro decks like doing is giving an opp. life (unless you have kavu predator). Shackles takes away a blocker unlike condemn and can keep it from attacking. this also makes profane command not as scary.

as for the voidmage discussion, I think it comes down if you mana can support it. My deck plays way to much white to have enough blue for it.

unfortunately, a 1cc arrest with a show mana upkeep is kinda awful compared to condemn or even just regular pacifism. this is especially relevant for, say, tarmogoyf. and neither are particularly relevant against pickles, since morph isn't an activated or triggered ability.
