personally, a set won't have too many cycles until EVERY card in the set is part of a cycle.

until then, its just amusing Smile

Lol. I wonder if it's possible to find out how many "active" memers 'News has left compared to Salvaion.

P.S. Plastik, it was a bit before my time on 'News to know why you were banned, but you seem pretty cool to me. (for what that's worth)

that one's not to be trusted kids. plastik that is.

all that aside, yeah, looks like 'news is crumbling faster than planned.

i'm still not banned over at 'news, not that i really care.

*cracks knuckles* Now, what I'd really like to see happen is for Scott to come register and join us at MT. Let's see how he handles people who can be far bigger ********s than him.

Come to the dark side, Scott... give into your anger... :evil1:

i wouldn't even consider him an ********. he's just a mild irritant with a piss poor attitude regarding, well, everything.

an ******** is someone like, well, most of hte people at MT (myself included).

The frequency in which Time Walk is seen in the average Vintage deck list is somewhat appalling. It seems like a clunky inclusion at best in most decks...like "tech" left over from the golden age. Rolleyes

Either way I can see it's a bit more useful in this list than most. Where that extra turn could be all that's between you and victory. Effects that occur on upkeeps are sometimes fickle like that. Sweat

i fail to see how paying 1U to get the following effects is clunky:
untap all permanents you control, draw a card.

how is this any better than the "poorly named" Rectal Agony deck?

yes you win with teh whole donate illusions gig, i understand that.

however that requires at least one other turn.

with the rectal agony lists, (which, i might add, are obsolete) you win the turn you rector out bargain via the omnipresent Tendrils of Agony.

But you see, there's a big difference between Cranial Extraction and Sowing Salts:

Whereas you can still hard cast something with your 11 or so mana after losing Tooth and Nail, you can't really cast diddly that's going to win on about 4 or 5 mana.

Now, I actually agree that Tooth and Nails will still be around, but I seriously doubt it'll be the best non-Affinity deck around. It'll just have too many good answers to it.

chicken little called, he wants his gimmick back.

remember a little deck from last year's regionals called elf & nail?

    remember that?

remember how it played tooth & nail without the urza's lands or cloudpost?

    remember it now?

    good.

first of all, sowing salt won't end tooth & nail decks, everyone said the same thing about cranial extraction and got all scared and stuff, seriously

stop to thinka bout what you're saying before you even bother to type.

while the cycle's interesting, i doubt it'll have as much of an impact as everyone thinks.

first of all, who told plastik where this forum is.

secondly, no, psychogenic probe doesn't autowin against desire. it doesn't autowin against anything.

it is, however, an annoyance that's usually dealt with in the form of Cunning Wish for random bounce spell, bounce said probe.

  • posted a message on What are you playing at PTQ's and GP's?
personally i'm torn between a few decks.

    BioEnchantress
    RDW
    Mind's Desire
    Cephalid Breakfast
    Affinity

of these i have the most experience with Enchantress and Desire, but I remember how degenerate angry hermit pt 2 was last season and cephalid breakfast has enough tools to be good.

i've got a while to get everything in order before GP Seattle, but i'm sure i'll figure something out
