Design, however...frankly, if we are the result of a design process from an omnipotent God? I want to start a class action. We - indeed, all species - are pretty fricking ham-handed in our designs. Just pause and wonder why our windpipe crosses our food pipe. Was that part of the design subcontracted out to a lesser angel?
Well, you know, God subcontracted the development of each taxa to a different angel. That's why ALL mammals have the same flaw when no other group does. Not because we come from a common ancestor, you see, but because angels are blind.
For reference, the determined evolutionary tree since the common ancestor has been determined more accurately than any of the universal constants we use in physics.
To answer objections that "evolution doesn't say where life came from!" Well, no **** Sherlock. Evolution only pertains to the idea that all life comes from a common ancestor and has reached its current states by means of natural selection. If you want to talk about "where did life come from?", I direct you to the theory of abiogenesis which is not even remotely related.
And, "the fossil record hasn't produced any half-bird lizards?" Well, duh. It wouldn't? Birds and lizards are two branches from the Saurian family, and we do have intermediate bird/saurian forms and intermediate saurian/reptilian forms. We also have intermediate saurian/mammalian forms, a complete transitive fossil record showing the formation of the mammalian earbones from the saurian jawbones, a complete transitive fossil record for the evolution of land based life forms into cetacean mammals.
We also have the fact that every single living thing on the planet Earth uses the same isomers for the basic life functions, despite the fact that there are about 16 different ones for just one of them. All life also uses ATP, despite the fact that any number of energy producing structures could fulfill the same function. This is highly indicative of common descent; after all, if all life was created independently, why would this need to be the case?
Finding anything in either the fossil record or the living biochemistry of modern animals above the two points would disprove macroevolution and the theory of common descent. And yet we've never found it. Strange, that?
Scientific theories call for a theory that makes testable predictions; so far the theory of evolution has passed every test and has not been disproven. It has made predictions that were not immediately obvious that have since been proven true in testing. It is a model with a high degree of explanatory power that can be tested and disproven but has not been. It is, in every way, the pinnacle of biological theorems.
And on the subject of irreducible complexity-- you are aware that even the man who came up with the argument has since had to admit that every example of it he has provided has since been proven reducible, right? Just because you can't figure out how it reduces doesn't mean it is irreducible.
The reason I added the draw clause is so if someone has a avatar of woe on top, they can't keep it up top to WIN all the clashes. They either have to draw it, which means there is a different outcome on the next card, or they have to put it on the bottom of their library then draw another card.
The issue with that is that the card draws will all trigger during resolution, so the player won't actually draw cards until after they've finished resolving the spell, which would be after they clashed three times.
Harbinger of Vengeance W
Creature - Spirit Soldier
Whenever another creature you control is put into a graveyard from play, but a +1/+1 counter on Harbinger of Vengeance.
1/1
Spirits aren't soldiers. They're just not. No Spirit has a class type.
Umm... this is nice.
Oh, Revered Dead, how you have been forgotten.
Still Standard Legal, and lost to thought already.
Oh, Revered Dead, this is my ode to thee.
Er, anyways.
White Sarcomancy is pretty cool, obviously only printable when we don't have any other white 2/X's for W floating around in Standard.
The Healing Draxx would probably be coolest if it was "each opponent." This way, it plays likely a completely different card in multiplayer (hint: Kavu Predator).
Magus, the Propagation :3mana::symg::symg::symg:

Fateseal 4. "By the time I'm done, you won't even have hope left." - Sebastian Saadil, Inquisitor of Brek
And on an odd thought, the name made me think it was going to be more like this:
Chronogoyf :1mana::symu:
Creature - Lhurgoyf
Chronogoyf's power is equal to the current turn minus one and its toughness is equal to the current turn.

Invent
Tribal Instant - Artificer

If you control an Artificer, draw a card.
Yes, that's much it.. And I was going for the flavour, but it seems that people didn't like it much...
Sorry. =/ Dig the flavour, but you totally cannot beat the awesomeness of a Weird card.
Circle of Growth :1mana::symg:
