Why not just play Meloku/Kokusho/Keiga/Yosei/etc ? Considering that those card all have superior evasion, and they have useful abilities, and they're better at defense, and they don't GIVE creatures to your opponents?
Cause we're not playing Mono-U but UB instead. 2 very different decks. Black's there for disruption and since we're into black, and with alot of lands facilitating BB and UU spells, there's no reason why we should miss out on it when we can handle it's drawback.
It's like saying "Negator is good because you can wait until turn 5 and Terror their blocking creature". Hidden Horror wants to be Suicide Aggro, but just gives blockers to your opponents. And it's not a control creature, because it gives attackers to your opponents.
In Suicide, where there are hardly any answers to those Centaurs, you still can win the damage race. And why not let it go into other decks that has ways to handle it's drawback, like Mono-B control and UB. Hidden Horror screams Suicide with it's tempting cost of BB, but that doesn't mean he has to be in suicide or even come out on turn 2.
Granted, it's no Negator, but this card has potential so don't write off it's chances this early.
In UB, Hunted Horror might work as a fine finisher.
In Mono-B, there's NoSB, hideous laughter and Kagemaro.
It works in reanimator as something you could hard cast while you reanimate something else like... Verdant Force or Razia?
Well i hope that this tread hasnt been killed forever...
I recently won a FNM with my U/B Ninja deck. I run into problems when i face White Wenies though. Any help would be apreciated.
Ive been trying to mull over a few things, such as the last 5 sideboard cards. Then im trying to decide what to do with my main board. Thanks to all that help.
Ahhh White Weenie. Mistblades work exceptionally fine against them, at least until they get Swords into play. When they do, Aether Spellbombs will get rid of them. More creature kill like Echoing Decay would be nice too.
And and!! Where are your Jittes? No creature deck leaves home without Jittes!!
Woah. That's alot of land.
Anyways, Elders and Loam Dwellers are made for each other. Find some land, and put one of 'em into play with Dweller's trigger
Hmmmm... Take out the Mothrider Samurai for Araba Mothriders. If you're not going into red, yea, lose them Kentaros.
- 2 wills, 2 kentaro, 1 blademaster,2 bushi tenderfoot
+ 3 glorious anthems, 2 jitte, 2 test of faith (just a 'll interesting combat trick)
Nobody likes being played against a turn 3 plow under. That thing is a quadruple time walk if played early. Definitely needed when you have access to fast mana like birds and STEs.
Petalmanes are cool to use, but north trees are there because north trees just beat better than south trees. South trees dont have trample and they get killed easily and I wouldn't want to focus entirely on one part of the deck. I'd like to keep other options open and North trees work as as that efficient beat stick.
Glitterfang is cheap. Just cheap. Cheap spiritcrafting means is exactly what this deck needs. Gets even sillier with it's synergy with Genesis Chambers and In the Web of War.
Path of Anger's Flame is the finisher. No doubt about it. With KotST in play, this gives a net +3/+1 and trample to each creature you control sans KotST. If Soilshaper too is in play, Anger's Flame can turn lands into pseudo-north trees. Oh, and 4/2 trampling Myrs to break Genesis Chamber's symmetry.
Taking into account my previous arguments about spiritcrafting's negativeness, the only spiritcrafting that's being done are by South Tree and Soilshapers and STEs are there to fix mana. This tops the curve at KotNT and ItWoW.
Not too bad actually. Against well-built decks, this beats aggro strategies by sheer brute force but falls flat to white weenie and any form of control, so it falls short on competitiveness, but it's still a whole lot of fun by smashing in 10 or more points worth of damages each turn.
Regarding my warhammer and spirit link post...
I believe in the core sets no 2 unrelated cards should share the same ability, and I believe spirit link is the only card with the rights to "whenever creature deals damage, gain that much life."
I'm not sure about traproot. How about soilshapers? I suggest you top your curve at Hikari. Kodama of the North Tree is kind of a must in green cause it hurts when it gets onto the table.

And, laugh not at Leveler. It wins games.
10 damage to each creature and player.
'nuff said.
Why. Why!!
Meh.

And regarding C, I would love to use it on Maros. Are they 1/1, or their abilities make them otherwise?
IMO, blood moon nerf tooth more than sowing salts do.
